About Lake Puckaway
Neighboring Adeline’s House of Cool, Lake Puckaway spans 5,013 acres and is well-known for its outstanding northern pike fishery. It holds the state record for the largest fish caught, weighing 38 pounds. Each year, anglers catch fish weighing 20 pounds or more. The lake has a maximum depth of 5 feet and is part of the Fox–Wisconsin Waterway.
Historically, French explorer Jacques Marquette passed through the lake in 1673, describing it as being filled with wild rice. Today, Lake Puckaway offers seven public boat landings, making it a great spot for boating, fishing, and wildlife watching.
