My family and I ( 6 adults, 6 children aged 10 to 2) just returned from Adeline's House of Cool and I miss it already. When you first arrive you are greeted with nostalgic music on the welcoming wrap around porch. Then you open the door to unique experiences that are far superior to any other rental space in Wisconsin. Each room offers games, activities, comfort and surprises, like the indoor pool size hot tub, the bar with pool table, pin ball and slot machine or the upstairs family room with giant stone fireplace and unique taxidermy! Each of the six bedrooms is comfortable and lead to the magnificent wraparound second story deck with its own unbelievable surprises! The grounds of the property are stunning. The flowers and trees are beautiful and the fountain up front is soothing . Each of us had our own " favorite thing". My son was amazed at how cool the air conditioning was for such a huge home, my 8 year old granddaughter loved the umbrella covered lawn. My 10 year old grandson loved the bikes and fishing off the dock. Each kid caught their share of blue gills, perch , sun fish and one bass. Being a senior , my favorite thing was watching my family bond and just sitting on the lawn listening to all the birds who were also enjoying the property. Communication with the owner and his crew of friendly helpers was appreciated. I know this is long, but I can't say enough about how special Adelines House of Cool is for any age.

We thoroughly enjoyed a couples getaway with 10 of us at Adeline's House of Cool. What a vibe! This place is rich in space, history, intrest, quirkiness, etc. We were never bored. Between the fire pit, massive wrap around porch to play musical chairs around, to the hot tub, the dart board, bean bags, games, pool table, lotto machine - the list goes on. It was perfect to gather all together and also have space to roam on our own. Brian was above and beyond with communication and Tom show us around at checkout in and made sure we we all set and ready for our time there! Thank you for hosting our fantastic voyage!

We had a wonderful time at Adeline’s! Settled in a quiet neighborhood on a channel to Lake Puckaway, we rested, played pool, pinball and even slots! The home also provided a hot tub that was more like a pool in which the younger ones splashed about in. We loved looking at and chatting about the many ornate decor pieces, even having our own scavenger hunt to find the location of certain pieces. One of our favorite spots was having lunch under the umbrella garden listening to Blue Moon! So many unique opportunities for family photos, you will love. We would definitely recommend!

We had the most magical week at this amazing property. I traveled with beloved family, a party of 11 ranging in age from 9 months to 63, and there was plenty of room for all. It was the perfect “home base” for fishing and playing at Spring Lake, floating down the River in Princeton and enjoying the shops, and admiring the special treasures of the Fox River-Grand River Locks and the Grand River Marsh Wildlife Area. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare family meals and the game room was the heart of our evenings. Everyday we discovered something new to see in the house and I already miss my morning coffee on the big swing outside of my room on the second level. There were so many personal touches and Brian checked in daily to see if we needed anything. One of my favorite vacations. Every day was an adventure. I want a repeat! ❤️

We absolutely loved our stay here! All the reviews are spot on!! Tom was amazing and patient with all the kids questions and comments! He made sure we were comfortable and welcomed the whole group with excitement! Brian was very attentive with all questions and responded very quickly! The house itself is something unexplainable. Everyday we would find new cool trinkets and jokes all around the house. We loved taking our evenings after long days out in town and relaxing in the pool and sitting on the netted porch mosquito free! We did NOT want to leave. The house was well equipped with kitchen utensils and supplies! We plan on coming back to enjoy it all over again! Thank you Brian and Tom for helping us have a relaxing fun vacation in this beautiful home!!!

The house is tremendous! We loved wrap around porches on the second floor and with the whole second floor being a screened in porch with a balcony door in each room we were able to sleep with the doors open so good at night with the crickets and bullfrogs coming in off the lake to awaken with the birds chirping in the morning. The hot tub was used every single day, and you couldn’t beat the juke box selection! A few whiskeys and a couple games of pool with the jukebox after the hot tub after a long an exciting day in the Dells was exactly what the Dr. ordered. Brian (the owner) was so helpful and gave us a lot of excellent recommendations. The tour with Tom in the beginning was also MUCH needed because there is simply so much to explore and see on the property! You will have an amazing time, book with complete confidence! I also left a very important item behind at the property and the owner was gracious enough to send it back, no worries! Thank you for such an amazing experience with my family!

Unbelievable place for a quiet relaxing time with family! Truly one of a kind home, with so many eclectic decorations you will discover new things each day of your stay! We had a large group of 9 and had plenty of room with the 6 bedrooms. Ample entertaining space inside for evening or rainy day fun and beautiful manicured lawn and gardens for outdoor activities. So many great family memories from this trip! Brian and his team provided unbelievable communication from our inquiries prior to booking through our stay. Brian reached out daily to check on how we were doing, if we needed anything or needed suggestions for activities. Absolute 5 star service!! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us! Look no further, this is a place you need to try!!

We stayed at Adeline’s House of Cool for a week in March 2026 and it was such a fun experience! The house is beautiful, spacious, clean with lots and lots of outdoor spaces to enjoy. The massive indoor hot tub (more like an inground pool!) is a highlight. But the house is full of whimsical antiques, art, and curiosities that are so cool. Half the fun is just wandering around all the indoor and outdoor spaces and examining all the interesting things you see! Highly recommend a stay here. It’s unlike any place you’ve ever been-truly unique and fun. Check out the Princeton Flea Market before you leave!

All the other reviews are spot on with the description. We were here for a full week and it gave us the opportunity to fully enjoy "some" of what Wisconsin has to offer. We took easy drives to Green Bay (Lambeau Field), Cheese Houses, Amish Bakeries, The Dells, Green Lake (for fishing), golfing at White Lake or to famous Whispering Straits Golf Club. Wisconsin countryside is just beautiful. Adeline's House of Cool WILL be the most unique place you will stay. If there is better I want to know where!!

I cannot say enough good things about this place! From the time we pulled up to the house until the day we left, we were on an adventure! There is so much to do and see that will keep you occupied your entire stay. The pool table, slot machine, pinball and the jukebox are so much fun so bring your quarters!! The bar just adds to the fun and feel of the house. The hot tub is like no other I have ever seen. We floated everyday and it was so relaxing. We had so much fun with the phone system where you could call to different areas of the house. We would call in our drink orders to the “bartender” which was so fun. The outside of the home and the upper porch are beautiful and serene. So much to see and do. We traveled with 3 teenagers and they had a blast. Several days we never left the place because no one wanted to. Brian is so responsive to any need that arose and it was evident that he truly wants his guest to enjoy themselves. He was an incredible host. Tom and Leo were also very helpful and kind. I truly hope that we get to visit again. Our vacation was memorable because of this place and the opportunity it gave for us to connect and just hang out with each other. I highly recommend if you are looking at renting Adeline’s House of Cool to stop looking and just DO IT!!

I can’t say enough about this place! From the time we arrived until we said our final goodbye, Adeline’s House of Cool was a marvel of fascinating things to see and do. Brian was very responsive and took care of any need we had throughout our stay. A few things to know before you go that are not in the listing detail is the fact that you will have to pay extra to use the bar cooler and the laundry room. No big deal but wanted to relay that to others. Bring your own towels and wash cloths but everything else is provided. We never got bored and spent several days just hanging out and discovering all the neat things in and around the house. Bring LOTS of quarters to play pool, the jukebox, slots and pinball. The jukebox was fantastic! Very quiet place. Leo and Tom were also kind and helpful. When we had to leave it was so sad. It really felt like home and no one wanted to leave. Thank you Adeline’s House of Cool and Brian for making our vacation one to remember!

Just finished a week stay at Adeline’s lovely and eccentric house of cool. The pictures don’t give it justice how electric and fun the home is. Much bigger too. We had a group of ten which fit nicely. Everything was so fun: game room/bar, hot tub, screened in 2nd floor porch, TV room, umbrella garden and so much more. We rented a boat and fished Puckaway which despite the lake being rather shallow and weedy it was a great success. Also hiked the observatory hill, which was easy enough for the 5 year old but still a great hike with a great view. The manager Tom and owner Brian were very responsive and awesome dealing with. Can’t wait to come again!

I just celebrated my 61st birthday here from may 25th-28th. I had my best friend and nephew and his wife. The inside is so fun with pictures and decorations everywhere!! Some highlights are a huge indoor hot tub!! A game room with pool a juke box pin ball bar just a fun room!! There are chandeliers everywhere including a downstairs bathroom. Old time working phones to call each other. Upstairs is a comfy area with couches and a tv to wind down and visit at the end of the day. You honestly have to see it in person to fully appreciate it!! There are beautiful outdoor spaces with an umbrella garden. Off every bedroom you have access to a screened in wrap around balcony with swings!! A great way to start and end the day!! There is a grill and a nicely stocked kitchen!! Too much stuff to mention everything but we had A great time. This place is unique and fun!!

What a crazy fun place to spend a long weekend! Over memorial day this year I had my Bachelorette party at the house of cool. It takes a second to adjust your eyes to all the objects on the walls, but once your "acclimated" the fun begins! It was the perfect size for my group of 12. There was always something to do or a place to be. Easy driving distance to pontoon on Green Lake, go to the Princeton Flea Market, or boutique in OshKosh. We spent most of our time on the deck outside the bar, in the bar, or in the hot tub! If you're into dive bars, you can't miss Miller's Resort.

Booked Adeline’s House of Cool for three nights for a guy's hangout and it was great. Perfect setup, plenty of space, and a really cool vibe. We had an awesome time and we’ll definitely be back again.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Adeline's House for 3 nights last week. I had very high expectations, but the home managed to surpass them. The home was a fantastic place for the 7 of us to have fun spending time together. We enjoyed a beautiful fire, music, games, and beverages in the bar room. The living room upstairs is perfect for a movie night. The kitchen and dining area were great for preparing breakfast and dinner. There are so many amazing outdoor seating areas that it is hard to pick a favorite. It's a great feature that every bedroom has an exit to the upper level wrap around deck. Of course, the incredible gigantic hot tub was an absolute gem! There are so many unique items throughout the home and yard. You could stay several times and not run out new and interesting items to discover. Communication was great throughout the booking process and stay. The owner, Brian, and caretaker, Tom, were both very friendly and hospitable. I cannot wait to stay at Adeline's House again!

Just spent the past weekend at Adeline's House of Cool and it was AMAZING!!! We celebrated an 85th birthday with the family ranging in ages from 6-85. Everyone had a super fun time. Had several bonfires, tried fishing (no bites tho), rode bikes, played lawn games and enjoyed the nice weather outside. Inside was another type of party... we enjoyed the hot tub/pool many times each day, played board games and the bar room games while donning the many hats, did the scavenger hunt and continuously explored all the fantastical decor. We all had a great time and made memories that will last forever. Thanks for letting us stay at your amazing place!

WOW! That is the first word that comes to mind on this house! I am a YouTube content creator and I visited this house in fall of 2025 just to do a video. I was so blown away by the uniqueness & quirkiness, that I had to return and stay with my family. In April 2026, we stayed for a couple of nights and created a wonderful memory. This house is perfect for groups looking to relax in the huge hot tub, enjoy the game room & bar, cook meals in the full size kitchen, admirer the decor, and have a very comfortable nights sleep. There is nothing else like this house. We found it to be very clean, comfortable, and FUN! The property manager showed us where everything was and left his number incase we needed him for anything. The owner of the house personally reached out to me as well to make sure there weren't any issues and to remind us to reach out if we needed anything. My YouTube channel has a couple of videos (1 of an in-depth tour and the other video documenting our experience). This house is over the top and so much fun... what a gem!!!

If you are looking to time travel and take a step back into the past then Adeline’s is a must visit. There is most certainly something for every one in your family to enjoy. If you would rather be surprised then spoiler alert don’t read on. The phones entertained my nephew for the entire visit, never got old. Pinball and Juke Box was so nostalgic. My first steps inside reminded me of going to the movies as a kid. Theaters back then were so grandiose. The stained glass throughout the house is by far my favorite attraction. The cabin like feel of the hot tub room was such a great way to end each evening. We cannot wait to come back and explore Adeline’s during all the different seasons.

The grandkids spring break week was a huge success thanks to Adeline's House of Cool. They stayed busy with Hiking trails, yard games, bicycles and scooters. They tried there luck at the slot machine, pin ball machine and pool. We played cards, they fished off the pier and Adeline's has outside picnic area under the Blue Moon. Start saving your quarters now! I will definitely recommend this place.

We spent a long weekend at Adeline's House of Cool with a group of 12 of us. The moment we walked through the door we were in awe of all the unique things to see. Tom greated us and showed us the entire house and asked us if we had any questions. He even started a fire in the fireplace. We all enjoyed every aspect of this beautiful place. Brian the owner checked in via text and made sure we had everything we needed. It was everything we were hoping it would be. I highly recommend to everyone. Thank you for sharing this one of a kind place with us. We look forward to coming back.

Adeline’s House of Cool was truly beyond… cool! It is the type of place that is hard to describe in words. The owner (Brian) has blended fun with the feel of a living museum – taxidermy (think Night at the Museum movie!), artwork, and unique treasures turning every corner into a discovery. The game room, huge hot tub, bar area, and beautiful fireplaces made for the perfect blend of relaxation and fun. Beautiful stained glass and artistic details run throughout the entire house, creating a home that’s playful, historic, and thoughtfully curated. The house was spotless, and both the owner and caretaker were incredibly welcoming and attentive to our family. There is a sign upstairs that says “Mi casa es su casa”, and their warmth and attention to detail truly made it feel like this. There was even a fun letter for us in the mailbox when we arrived! We left with full hearts and so many memories we can’t possibly describe to our friends and family. Huge thanks to Brian for opening his amazing home to us and being so thoughtful during our stay, and to Tom for making sure we were settled in and taken care of throughout our stay. (& to Tim for the internet help & Jim for plowing us out! - how often do you know the names of the people who help you out during your stays??? That's sayin' something!).

Endless fun at this Historic property! Our stay was super comfortable and the accommodations lovely. The house had its own aura that makes you just fall in love with it. Our girls trip included a cooking competition; the kitchen amenities were well stocked and the set up was perfect. We also had fun shopping and were able to find everything we needed and more in the super cute little town of Princeton right north of there. The hot tub and bar were a HUGE hit and we look forward to coming back and experiencing this treasure in another season.

My family really enjoyed their time here. We had a bit of a hard time finding a place that would accommodate us and our dogs, so I'm very glad we found Adeline's. The weather ended up being colder than we expected, but we still had a great time. Everyone loved the hot tub and we had a good time watching movies and playing board games. Wifi and cell signal were fine except for streaming, but there is a selection of DVDs and VHS tapes available.

What a neat place! We had company in from New York and drove up to spend several days. The hot tub was a huge hit, as it was the first part of December. The game room was also a great source of entertainment. We were all very impressed with the warm reception and just the coolness of the place. Definitely see a return trip in the future.

Just spent a long overdue family getaway extended weekend. Everything was perfect. The hot tub is so relaxing. The fireplace was going all weekend and the storytelling and games around the bar. We live out of state so it’s always wonderful to catch up. This is a return trip for us and it’s perfect! Lots of room to roam. Thank you again for a perfect visit

From the moment we walked in the mood was set for our stay. The caretaker greeted us with a short welcome and a cozy fire. We immediately began exploring and wow!! This place does not disappoint, we expected it to be "cool" but WOW is a better descriptor. Our whole family had the weekend of a lifetime with so many great memories. If you have the chance, go. You will not be disappointed.

We spent a weekend at Adeline's House of Cool, a one-of-a-kind family-friendly vacation rental that was perfect for our large group--my wife, mother-in-law, brother, and five kids. The house is spacious, unique, and full of character, making it an ideal large family getaway and vacation home. The indoor hot tub, game room, and lakefront access kept everyone entertained all weekend, while the fully equipped kitchen made family meals easy. The property felt cozy but never crowded, and even my mother-in-law loved the vintage charm. If you're looking for a unique lake house rental or a memorable weekend getaway, this place is absolutely worth it.

Stayed at Adeline's House of Cool with 7 guys for an ice fishing trip - What an amazing place to stay for a long weekend. The massive hot tub, was great after a long day on the ice. No need to go out to a bar, because there is a bar with a fireplace, pool table, juke box, and slot machine in the house! Brian and Tom are both great to work with and made it easy for us to get in and out. Tom came by and checked on the place while we were there and we barely noticed! Only knock on the place is the jukebox, slot machine, and pool table are pay to play. While there is a change machine in the house to make it convenient, it feels odd to have to spend more money to enjoy the amenities advertised on the listing.

Adeline’s Very Cool House of Cool Our family and some friends stayed here for four nights/five days just after new years. What a fun and interesting place to share with loved ones! Plenty of room for a large group to spread out but the house also provides real coziness that makes it feel like a (very cool) home away from home. Our group loved shooting pool, feeding the jukebox, playing pinball, and taking turns at the one-armed bandit all while enjoying a roaring fire near the full-sized, classic wooden bar. the hot tub was truly awesome and large enough for us all to enjoy and we also loved taking advantage of the huge dining room to play games or the super comfy den area to hang out and watch movies. We loved the layout of the upstairs bedrooms giving everyone privacy but also being near each with a vintage hotel vibe. I couldn’t get over the wrap-around balcony shared by all the bedrooms…loved it… so many details big and small that truly make this place an original. Seeing as it was early January we couldn’t truly appreciate the huge yard with its many statues and sculptures (and a vintage phone booth that works) as well as the close proximity to the water, but I hope we can stay again when it’s warm to take it all in during the peak season. The host and his assistant are super attentive and very responsive. It’s clear they put a lot of time and planning into trying to give everyone the best experience possible. My only regret is that we didn’t bring more people with us to share this treasure! I highly recommend.

Our family stayed here with some friends - 4 adults and 8 kids - and we had a blast! It's a very magical and unique place. The fireplace and hot tub kept us warm while it was freezing outside. We also had an outdoor fire with smores. The kids loved calling each other on the rotary telephones that are placed throughout the property. We brought plenty of coins for pool and pinball, and the nickel machine was a huge hit with the little ones. Everything was well maintained and the host was available with any questions we had. Overall we had an unforgettable stay.

This house was everything I had hoped for. We had lots of chill family time. Tons of space for everyone and entertainment as well. The game room is fabulous with so much to do. The large fireplace was just perfect for a place to sit and have a drink. We cooked most meals and had a great time doing that. We appreciated the huge dining table for meals and game playing. The hot tub was a huge hit and perfect on a cold winter’s night. Just the perfect family gathering place.

We stayed at Adeline’s House of Cool for a few days and it honestly turned into one of those trips you don’t stop talking about. From the second we pulled in, it felt nothing like a normal vacation rental or cabin rental. Every part of the place has personality, and you can tell it was designed for people to actually have fun, not just sleep there. One night really sold it for me. We ended up spending hours in the game room — pinball going, music on, drinks at the bar — and somehow lost track of time completely. Later, we moved out to the hot tub, just hanging out, laughing. It felt like one of those perfect, unplanned moments you don’t get very often anymore. That alone made the stay worth it. During the day, we kept discovering little details around the property that made us stop and say, “Okay, this place is seriously cool.” It’s impossible not to take photos — we were constantly snapping pictures for Facebook and Instagram because nothing about it looks like a typical rental. Every corner feels fun, quirky, and totally unique. The house itself is HUUUUGE. which made it great for the whole group!. Everyone had their own space, but we always ended up together — whether it was cooking, playing games, or just hanging out. Being a pet-friendly vacation rental was a huge bonus too. Having our dog there made it feel even more relaxed and homey. What really stood out was how welcoming and thoughtfully set up everything felt. It didn’t feel staged or overly polished — it felt real, warm, and meant to be enjoyed. I’d absolutely stay here again because it’s more than just a place to stay — it becomes part of the trip. It’s the kind of cabin rental I’d recommend to friends, family, or anyone looking for a memorable, pet-friendly getaway. I’ve already told people about it, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book it again.

Taking two tech industry managers and five sons (ages 15 to 32) to a cabin for the holidays is a calculated risk. We are a family of gamers. We dream in 4K resolution. Screen time isn’t just a pastime for us; it’s a lifestyle. But for the week of Christmas (12/19-12/26), we decided to unplug the router and attempt the impossible: actually talking to each other. Adeline’s House of Cool was the perfect backdrop for our digital detox. The Highlights: Tech Archaeology: The house has a VHS player. Watching my younger sons try to comprehend this "ancient technology" was worth the price of admission alone. Only Ben (our 32-year-old) knew how to operate the clunky plastic brick. It was a humble history lesson. Analog Gaming: Since the consoles were packed away, the boys channeled their competitive energy into the pool table and the slot machine. Two of the middle boys actually "hit it big" on the slots—plenty of bragging rights were dispensed. We played cards, a board game or two, and attempted to complete a puzzle. The "Soup Pot": That 20-foot hot tub is no joke. It was the daily gathering spot and easily big enough to marinate our entire offensive line of children. The Cozy Factor: My wife and the pups set up a permanent base of operations in front of the fireplace. (See included photos of pure bliss). The Service: Brian (the owner) runs a tight ship. He was incredibly attentive, checking in before, during, and after the trip to ensure we weren't struggling. Tom, the property manager, met us on arrival and gave us the lay of the land, and was back midweek to check in — Great hospitality all around. A Small Note on Seasons: We had a very relaxing, much-needed down-time here. Gazing out at the frozen landscape though, you can tell that this house has a "Double XP Weekend" mode in the warmer months. While cozy in winter, I think Adeline's truly shines when you can get outside to fish, boat, and utilize the wild amount of outdoor space available. My wife and I love to kayak, and she is a fisherman, so I could see us planning a return trip to try those activities. The Verdict: If you need to force a family of nerds to touch grass (or at least touch a pool cue), this is the place. Mission accomplished.

We had a fabulous experience at Adeline’s House of Cool. It absolutely lived up to its name! It was the perfect place for a family holiday celebration. Our grandkids loved the hot tub and playing outside in the snow. The atmosphere was great for conversation. We loved the fireplace and discovering all the unique memorabilia. We’re all making plans for a return visit! We’d highly recommend this unique experience!

We’ve been using Adeline’s for our freind Christmas parties for a few years. It’s so much fun! I wish there was more comfortable seating downstairs but, overall, the place is amazing! Book it - you won’t be disappointed!

This place was amazing. If I could give it six stars, I would. There is so much to do here. Six couples came up and spent four days there and had so much fun. The indoor activities, the outdoor activities, the bar, the pool, the pool table, the horses, the fireman pole the list goes on. I think my favorite part was having a fire inside in the large fireplace. All the games are so cool. There are phones throughout the house that we pranked each other with all the time. We had a murder mystery game made about us friends and the place really set the mood. If you haven’t booked this place, you should because we will be doing this again. I also really thought that Brian has put so much time into this home to make it as cool as it really is. Something like Tim Burton would make. We will be back.

My husband and I took a last-minute vacation to Adeline’s House of Cool this week with another couple, and it was such a wonderful getaway! We absolutely loved the secluded location and relaxing atmosphere — it’s the perfect place to unwind and recharge. The fun, eclectic decor makes every corner feel like a little discovery; we kept finding something new and fascinating each day. The beautiful stained glass, the music playing outside, and the cozy hot tub room were some of our favorite touches. We’d highly recommend Adeline’s House of Cool for anyone looking for a unique and relaxing vacation spot any time of year!

We loved this house so much! So unique and so much to look at .. even after days being there, I still found new things I didn’t see. The hot tub is magical and I never wanted to get out. The bar is so fun and two in our party took on the role of the “bartenders”! The pool table and jute box were also very much enjoyed.. you do have to use quarters to make it work, but there are plenty available to win in the slots machine! Overall we all loved this house and can’t wait to come back as soon as we can!

Adeline's is a place unlike anywhere I have ever stayed. The grounds are beautiful and the house is pure magic. Everywhere you look there is something to see. The house is perfect for families and has so much to do year round. My kids love playing pinball and pool and of course their amazing hot tub! My favorites are the porch swings. Nothing like a morning coffee with a blanket and a good book curled up on the porch. The umbrella garden is probably my second favorite spot because its so whimsical. The stained glass everywhere is beautiful with the soft sounds of really great music playing on the porch I could go on and on. So many many things to love about this house and so much thought and care that was put into creating this space. This place should be a bucklet list vaca for anyone looking for a special place to visit. We have been several times and created some really amazing core memories for our family. Adeline's truly is the house of cool.

This was our 2nd time here and it was another amazing weekend. It's such a unique place that coming back again we found knew treasures in the house and enjoyed introducing some new friends and family to this experience. The house and grounds are very well maintained and there is so much to do here without needing to leave the property. From the hot tub to the casino games to just relaxing near the fire, there was something for everyone to enjoy! We will be back again and look forward to another "House of COOL" experience. The owner and caretakers were also very welcoming and helpful throughout the whole process. Thanks to them all for sharing this awesome place!!

Adeline's House of Cool was one of the most unique places we've ever stayed at. With 6 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms it was super clean and well maintained with plenty of space for our large family of 9. With lots of fun things to do for both kids and adults, the long weekend just flew by! Between games of pool and pinball, dancing along with the jukebox, and checking out the huge assortment of stuffed wild animals, vintage puppets, and interesting trinkets, there was lots of time relaxing in the ginormous indoor hot tub, big enough for all of us and then some! And this was just the indoor space.....outside the yard was large enough for wiffle ball and frisbee throwing and we spent lots of time hanging out and laughing around the outdoor firepit which was near the lake AND the telephone booth. Lots of crazy fun was had by all. An awesome place to spend time with family and friends....highly recommended!!

We had an awesome girl’s getaway at Adeline’s House of Cool! The house and grounds are lovely and full of interesting decor. We enjoyed the hot tub, bar, pool table, swings, enclosed second floor porch and the games. Really loved sitting in the umbrella garden. The beds were all comfy too. All bedrooms are on the second floor so might be a challenge for people that don’t do stairs easily. The owner, Brian, and the manager, Tom, were very helpful and wonderful to work with. We also enjoyed exploring the area, with a special shoutout to Jillian’s Gift Shop in Princeton, Dodge Memorial Park on Green Lake, Waves Pub and Grill at the Heidel House and the Tucked Away Bar on Lake Puckaway. Highly recommend!

I treated my family to this place for an extended weekend away. All I can say is that this experience went way beyond my expectations! The caretaker Joe was so friendly and helpful. And the owner Brian was extremely helpful and willing to answer any questions I had about any of the antiques he’s carefully collected over 30 years!! If You are into enjoying a blast from your past and even a blast from your parents past - you gotta check this place out!!! From all of the carefully selected antiques- to the rotary phones where I could prank call my adult kids -which was a blast🤣🤣 My grandkids asking me “What is that Gigi?”And I actually had an answer for them! From the beautiful yard, umbrella garden , Fire pit, pier, Phone booth, Pool table and games that I haven’t played in years!! Thank you to the owners that put this very special place together. I can’t wait to go back!

Wow! Immediately planning our next visit! Do we try for a cool fall weekend? Maybe a winter lock in? Or just another great summer visit? Endless sense of wonder at the creativity and sense of humor and history in the House of Cool! Owner Brian cares deeply that you are entertained and comfortable. The property is huge with plenty of space for outdoor games/firepit time and quiet naps on porch swings. No need to leave as there are so many different spaces to have fun and relax with family. Kitchen is well stocked, nice bikes are available, the bar space is the best bar in the area, the hot tub is sweet and the firepole…..let’s just say we had a lot of laughs. Thank you for sharing a place that is deeply meaningful to you (we see hints of family hidden among the endless nooks to explore). We had a great long weekend to connect, play, snack and uncover the curiosities of the House of Cool. We will be back soon!

Vibes 10/10 Comfort 10/10 Entertainment 10/10 Communication 10/10 Amenities 10/10 Privacy 8/10 Amazing time with a large group, the house offers something to do for everyone. It felt as if we were staying in a museum. I truly appreciate Brian and his family keeping the legend of Adelaine alive. I enjoyed sipping my tea out on the porch and staring at the hummingbirds. Upon check-in I was greeted with my name on the mailbox and a cute letter inside. Little details like that made Adeline's House of Cool feel like home for me and my family during our stay. The house offers all the practical things you need, matches, snacks, endless hooks for wet towels, a screened in porch, infinite seats, an "intercom" system, all the cookware basics and countless DVD/VCR for entertainment. Regarding privacy during your stay you will see the Gardner (a friendly neighbor), the grounds keeper (he checks on the hot tub every few days), and we chatted with another neighbor across the water canal so its not the most isolated place but we tolerated it and it is not going to prevent us from coming back.

This was our 3rd (or 4th?) stay at Adeline’s and we will keep coming back! There’s so much to see and do there that you really never need to leave the house! The slot machine is always a huge hit, jamming out to the juke box, and of course the giant hot tub is such a fun feature. We played cornhole, and croquette, went for bike rides and fished day and night off the pier. I love that there so many nooks to relax in and chill out, both indoors and out. You won’t regret coming here! There is just no comparison!

Such a fun and interesting place to stay! We had 6 kids with us and they loved swimming in the giant hot tub and swinging on all the huge swings on both of the wrap around decks. We had a blast playing pool every night and using the slot machine and juke box, too! We were able to rent a boat not far from the house and dock it right on the channel in back of the house. Great vacation spot for sure!

Without a doubt one of the coolest, most interesting and fun homes our family has ever stayed in. Our whole family of 14 including our 6 grandkids and our good dog Sam had an incredible time on our week-long vacation stay! I know the grandkids, aged 5 to 11 will remember it forever! Plenty of things to do in the area, but even more to do at the house. You have to see it to believe it. Both Brian and Tom were very responsive when we reached out with questions about the house, area, ect. Highly recommend!

This is really the coolest place we have ever stayed for our week of family vacation. The table was big enough for us all to sit. There were many quiet spaces for quiet conversations or reading. When I alerted Brian to the scratched nonstick pans, he had a whole new set of pans personally delivered by Dean the next day. My only suggestion would be to alert renters that remote work is not possible due to the sporadic internet. For us retirees it was not a problem but my son had to leave early bc he needed to be able to have virtual meetings.

I’ve been thinking about the week we just spent at Adeline’s House of Cool. It was not only relaxing, with the most comfortable beds I have had at an AirBnB, it was more and I mean MORE. With 3 tweens, 2 teenagers, a 120 lb dog and 4 deeply exhausted adults I went into the week with a smidge of trepidation. The grounds are beautiful, it’s quiet, with amazing views, areas to play, lay in a hammock, dock the boat (rented from a lovely place very close that Adeline’s recommended) and let the puppy run. Then there is the house. It is cottagecore maximalism with a sense of humor. The game room and pool table became the center of life. The kids actually hung out, learned to play pool, did scavenger hunts, became mildly obsessed with a slot machine and developed a backstory for a Walrus (who we are sure is named Gus). They weren’t on their phones in their own world (yes this blew our minds as well) and actually interacted and had fun without their devices. As for me, I spent an inordinate amount of time in the enormous and brilliant hot tub and porch swing upstairs on the screened- in porch watching sunsets and fireflies. Tom, who met us and showed us around was great. He was quick to answer texts and helped us (without making fun of our inability to find pool table chalk) and made sure we always had anything we needed. Owner Brian not only texted to check in how we were doing, but gave some fabulous ideas for activities and super tasty ice cream in town. Only suggestions we would have is a little more light in a few areas and more time to stay. Overall, Adeline’s is a House of Cool.

A Perfect Spot for Our Annual Family Fishing Trip We just returned from an unforgettable stay at Adeline’s House of Cool during our yearly family fishing trip, and it couldn’t have been a better fit for us. The home is packed with charm and personality, and every member of our family—from the grandparents to the grandkids—found something to love. We rented a boat locally and were able to keep it at the house’s private pier, which made fishing on the lake for northern pike easy and enjoyable. The fact that the owner welcomed our two small dogs made it feel even more like home. Inside the house, there was never a dull moment. My mother especially enjoyed playing the slot machine in the game room, and there were countless games of pool played throughout our stay. We also spent time playing pinball, enjoying the jukebox, and exploring the house’s fascinating decor—there’s something new to discover in every room. The grill was put to good use with plenty of good food cooked up and shared. When the rain came one day, we all relaxed in the enormous 20-foot hot tub, which was a real treat. The umbrella garden was a favorite hangout spot and added a fun, colorful touch to our time outdoors. The owner was incredibly friendly and attentive, checking in with us daily via text to make sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying our stay. Adeline’s House of Cool truly lives up to its name—it’s full of charm, character, and thoughtful touches. We’re already talking about coming back next year!

We just spent the weekend at Adeline’s House Of Cool! What a wonderful place! There were 10 of us. We enjoyed the pool table, the jukebox, the slot machine, the pinball machine, the video machine behind the bar, and the cornhole boards. A couple of the younger ones went fishing off the pier and caught a couple of fish. We totally enjoyed sitting out on the porch and we loved walking in the beautiful yard. The highlight was truly the giant hot tub!! Wow!! Brian was a wonderful host! He checked in with us a couple times to make sure everything was going right. We felt so welcomed from the minute of our arrival. We will definitely return. What a wonderful Hidden gem!! Even my dog enjoyed the spacious environment the house of cool had to offer. Such a unique place - Highly recommend it!! Thank you, Brian for letting us stay in your wonderful home!!! We will be back!

What an amazing place! We spent an extended weekend at the House of Cool with family members. It is located on a quiet street in the middle of nowhere. But exactly what we loved about it! We cooked our meals there and didn’t venture out too much. But we totally enjoyed ourselves having cocktails, playing board games, laughing, hanging out in the hot tub, playing the slot machine and the game machines. The House is decorated in such a crazy way that every time you turn around, you discover something that you didn’t see before. You could spend one entire day walking through the rooms of the house checking out the trinkets and decorations. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for the weekend. We would certainly return again.

Surprised my family with this trip! Everybody was happy..whether it was hanging in the hot tub, drinking playin slots & pinball in the bar, sitting by the fire, boogie down to some good music, fishin, swinging peacefully, watching movies, exploring the antiques, using the old school rotary dial phones, bike rides…Honestly it’s just a good time😁

Such a cool, unique place! So much to see! The swings around the huge wrap around porches (upstairs and downstairs) are awesome!..was a little chili or i would have slept on one. The rooms are all nice and confidante and each have their own access out to the porch. Bring towels, there aren't any there! And quarters if you want to play ANY of the games, including pool. Super neat place for a large group!

I could not recommend visiting Adeline’s House of Cool more! It was the perfect spot to celebrate my 30th birthday with some great friends! We loved feeling like we had our own little bar just to ourselves and it was exactly what we needed for our western saloon murder mystery night! The hot tub is so nice to have on a chilly night and the fact that it comfortably fits 12 people is even better! It was so easy to communicate with the owner and have any and all questions answered promptly. They are so kind and welcoming! I have and will continue to recommend the House to many more friends and family! I’m already looking forward to my next opportunity to visit!

Wow, what an adventure! “Did you see the walrus?” was one of the first things Tom said to me with enthusiasm as we “finished” what we assumed was almost everything to see. “Oh, you won’t see everything there is to see on your first visit”, he assured us. Great! Just another of the many reasons to return to Adeline’s House of Cool! My wife, myself and a small army of our closest friends recently stayed three nights - not long enough, I’ll tell you now. Just another of the many reasons to return. We scarfed down dinner and a few drinks as fast as we could so we could finally get in that beautiful hot tub we’d been studying online for six months. It lived up to all of our expectations! Perfect temperature, perfect size, perfect room for the perfect party! I highly recommend hot tub frisbee golf. Our particular weekend happened to be the coldest of the year (so far) with sub zero temperatures so we didn’t do more outside than a quick tour around to marvel at the wonderful world of Brian’s Brain. A telephone booth that works? A Mariachi band - that works? More swinging seats than any other property on the planet? Come on! Now we have to go in the summer time as well! Just another of the many reasons to return. That weather left us plenty of time to experience the house. Yes, we shot the heck out of the pool table, juked about the jukebox dancing around in weird hats, took the slot machine for about 50 bucks - sorry guys, sat in rocking chairs next to a relaxing wood burning fireplace - who gets to do that anymore? But mostly, we marveled at all the crazy artifacts from the most amazing taxidermy I’ve ever seen, to the most realistic wax heads to all the fantastic treasures that owner, Brian has proudly amassed over the years putting together this aptly named, House of Cool. Did I mention we dressed up like the Muppets just to add another level of escape and weirdness to our adventure? We were dancing around like goofballs, laughing and attempting to take a group picture in our costumes right when manager, Tom, walked in to make sure the hot tub and coolers were up to par - the timing was perfect! And yes, we saw the walrus! Thanks to Brian, Tom and Samantha for a perfect vacation! Just another of the many reasons to return to Adeline’s House of Cool!

We had a great time ringing in the new year at Adeline’s house of cool. We were instantly blown away when we arrived, running around like children mesmerized by all the artifacts, toys, and surprises of the house. The bar was a great space to chat and play games (our friend got the newest high score on the pinball machine) and the upstairs provided a cozy space for reading and video games. We enjoyed dinners with everyone at the huge table, and kicked back in the hot tub. I’d love to come back when the weather is warm to experience more of the outside!

We stayed here the three days before Christmas to celebrate the holiday with our family. We wanted somewhere special and Adeline's House of Cool hit the marks. This home is awesome. It is everything and more of what you see and read. about it. We only had 5 adults but all of us were impressed and amazed. The home is clean, very well stocked and a thoughtfully well built. All 6 bedrooms are upstairs, each with their own door to the upper screened-in porch, which made it feel like your own retreat. There is too much to enjoy to mention. You have to experience this home yourself. You will need to bring nothing except your towels. Brian, the owner and daughter, Samantha were very attentive to our needs and any questions we had. We want to return during the summer to enjoy the lovely outdoor grounds and maybe fish. A++++ property. MB

Just got home from a post Christmas trip with the family. 11 adults and 4 young kids. Had a great time. Place was very clean. Hard to match its’ uniqueness. Weather caused us to stay inside for the three days we were there, but there is plenty to keep you busy. From the big hot tub, to the bar, to the game room, it holds something for everyone. Summers here must be really special.

Our Family Christmas We wanted to share Adelines with our children. We had our family Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed every moment here. We enjoyed the bar and pool table while having a beautiful fire in the fireplace. We had a snowstorm while there and the grounds were amazing to explore and play in . I feel words don't even begin to describe how I feel about this house. From the moment we drove up we were transfixed. I love quirky and whimsical and I was in awe. The stained glass, the woodwork, the antique decor made it simply magical. Our kids had so much fun learning what things were and what they were used for. They had fun identifying all the animals and even learned a song on the piano! The hot tub was used morning, noon, and night. They loved coming to sit by the fire to dry off and get all cozy and warm. They roasted marshmallows and enjoyed make smores! We were greatly warmly by Tom who was so nice to 3 super excited kids. He cracked jokes with them and didn't mind answering they're questions! He walked us through everything we needed to know, built us our fire, and let us know he was only a phone call away if needed. The owner Brian checked on us daily and was always eager to assist with anything we may have forgotten. He was kind and let me borrow a charger and told me where I could find a much needed toothbrush! We were nervous about bringing 3 younger kids, but they LOVED it! They are already planning they're summer vacation!

Adeline’s House of Cool is amazing, fun, full of surprises and the perfect place for a family or friend gathering. From the moment we were greeted at the door by Mike, we were smiling and looking forward to what was inside the home. There was plenty of room for all of us to be together or spread out for some quiet time. The juke box tunes kept us dancing and singing. Relaxing in the hot tub was the best. The well stocked kitchen was amazing. From the potato pealer, blender, crock pot and every utensil you didn’t know you needed, we had a successful Thanksgiving dinner. The bathrooms, as well as the rest of the house, were sparkling clean. I don’t want to give a description of the bathrooms, they must be seen - decorated to the max and so fun! We all slept well in the comfy beds. It was too cold to venture outside much, next time we will visit in warmer weather so we can enjoy the porches with their swings and chairs. We did utilize the massive fireplace to set a warm and toasty atmosphere. This home definitely lives up to its House of Cool name!

This place was magic for not only us, but our small children as well. I taught them a few songs on the piano and now we have one that wants to take piano lessons! That's a win in my book! The hot tub was a HIT!!!! The kids used it morning, noon, and night. We asked for the temp to be turned down and it was promptly addressed. I thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace, even made smores! The kids would all snuggle around it and relax as well. The grounds are magical and the wraparound porch looks like heaven. Had it been summer I could see us sleeping on the swings. Check in was super easy and Tom met us shortly after arriving. Showed us around, gave us all the tips and tricks, and even made us a fire. Brian the owner checked in on us multiple times a day ready to answer any questions we may have. It was an amazing trip. Kids are already asking to go back in summer!

Thanksgiving family gathering Adeline’s House of Cool is amazing, perfect for a family or friends gathering and definitely lives up to the ‘Cool’ title. From the moment we were greeted at the door by Mike to saying goodbye, we were all smiling or laughing. Never a dull moment with the games, fireplace, porches, swings, lawn to play on, even the bathrooms are filled with fun! However, the basics are what we liked most. The kitchen is the best equipped of the hundreds of homes we have rented. From the potato masher, blender, crock pot, pots, pans - nothing was missing! With the six comfy beds, we all slept well. Of course, after dancing to the juke box tunes, playing pool and the game machines, we were exhausted. Adeline’s is located in a quiet spot, so it was easy to relax too. Brian was in contact with us and available to help, if needed. The caretaker, Tom gave us a great tour and also was available anytime. We had a wonderful stay in the best home! We will be back!

★★★★★ An Unforgettable Birthday Celebration in a Truly Unique Cabin! From the moment we arrived, this cabin was unlike anything we've ever experienced! The property is a hidden gem that feels like stepping into a living museum - with such intriguing history centered around Adeline that I found myself completely captivated. The moment you drive up, you know you're in for something special. The amenities are absolutely top-notch. A 20-foot hot tub in an atrium? Absolutely mind-blowing! The vintage leather couches were perfect for our VHS movie marathon, and the space comfortably accommodated our entire group of 10 adults and 3 dogs without feeling cramped. The seclusion of the property made our weekend feel like a true escape from the world. Brian and his family have clearly put so much love and care into maintaining this incredible space. The rich backstory, the thoughtful details, and the overall atmosphere made our birthday celebration truly memorable. We're already planning to return - especially to explore the lake during the summer! To Brian and family: Thank you for sharing this incredible piece of Wisconsin history with us. We can't wait to come back!

Large picturesque house on a lake. Home is set up to accommodate up to 5-6 couples and has a nice bar with pool table juke box and video games. Home also has a large indoor hot tub large enough for 10 people

My group of 10 friends had a fantastic 5 night stay at Adeline’s. We spent most of our time hanging out in the house, exploring all the interesting items there is to see inside the house and outside on the grounds, playing games, and enjoying the awesome hot tub. We would highly recommend for a weekend retreat. Owner was responsive and caretaker very helpful. We accidentally left behind some glasses and a coffee mug and both were mailed to our home. Great place, great customer service!

Adeline’s House of Cool was an exceptional home! Very clean and welcoming to all my guests! We held our yearly adult only friends and family weekend here and it will definitely go down as being one of the BEST Airbnb’s we’ve stayed at! The property was impressive with lots to see and do! The bar/recreation area was a hit for all! From playing pool, listening to music from the jukebox, the quarter slot machine, and the giant hot tub we all had an absolute blast!! The screened in upper porch was relaxing with porch swings and even a rocking horse. The Umbrella garden was an absolute delight. When we walked inside, soft music played! Host Brain has definitely thought of everything to keep his guests entertained! His communication was excellent and kept me informed of anything that was happening around the home. Tom, the home caretaker, did a wonderful job showing us around the property and the secret bells/horns to push! I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a fun yet relaxing vacation! Thanks again Brain!

I'm so glad we found this place! It's one of the most unique and interesting places we've stayed at, and there's plenty of space for bigger groups. With the massive hot tub, bar area, and game room, it's easy to forget you're in a house. We also took advantage of the outdoor fire pit most evenings and really enjoyed hanging out in the umbrella garden during the day. There's also a large and clean gas grill outdoors which made cooking for the full group a breeze. We'll definitely be back!

This was our second stay at Adelines‘s and it was every bit as much fun as the first time. We often go to various rentals for family reunions. Adelines is our absolute favorite. There are so many different spots where you can sit down and read quietly or have a conversation with a family member. So much to do! We took along quarters and played pinball and pool. Everyone enjoyed the pool/hot tub, fireman’s pole, and rocking horses. We rented a pontoon boat and used it every day to explore the lake or go out for lunch at one of the bars on lake Puckaway. The owner and the local manager could not have been more helpful and welcoming. They checked in with us frequently to make sure that everything was going well. We will definitely be coming back for a visit.

This is my second time staying at Adeline's and this time, like the last, was amazing! Having the opportunity to gather so many people together in one eclectic and fun space is rare. Even rarer is having enough unique spaces to find alone time in the midst of family fun. I enjoyed every minute spent at Adeline's and I will be back with friends and family in the future!

All hail the House of Cool! My Fiancé and I hosted our friends for a bachelor bachelorette weekend and we couldn't have picked a better place! It looks awesome online but it's even better in person. One of our favorite parts was seeing everyone's reaction when they walked in and explored the place. We were all blown away by the unique décor. During the day we played games outside and in the evening we enjoyed the 20 ft hot tub and bar/game room. We left with a pocket full of quarters and happy memories :) Brian is a great guy and great host, he made sure we had everything we needed. Couldn't be happier with our experience. We'll be back for sure

Absolutely 100% fantastic! Family of 6, 4 of them adult children over the age of 26…and we all had an absolute blast! From walking up to the front of the house..classic music playing, curtains billowing in the wind…at first the kids were scared with all the decorations..until you read Adeline’s story…then we couldn’t get enough of looking at everything! Every day there was something new you saw. Amazing. Hot tub was a HUGE hit, along with pool table/bar and pinball machine! The yard is breathtaking! Our 26year old daughter slept outside on the screened in deck every night on the oversized swings..she was in love with the serenity of the place!..loved the phones, Btw…hysterical in the bathroom!!! Best compliment came from our daughter’s husband when we went out to eat . He said “can we just please stay at the house tomorrow and enjoy”😃 If I was forced to choose a favorite…I enjoyed waking up and drinking coffee on the porch swings listening to the classic music! Thank you again for your hospitality and making this vacation a dream vacation!!

We had a fantastic stay at Adeline’s House of Cool! Brian was extremely helpful. We had 5 adults, 3 kids, and one dog in our party. There was plenty of space for the whole group. This property is a true gem with treasures scattered throughout. The weather was hot during our stay, but the air conditioning kept the house perfectly cool. The outdoor space is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a distinctive getaway!

Wonderful property for our 2024 family vacation. Our large family took full advantage if the 6 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home. We loved the covered porches, the fishing a short walk from the home. Brian and his staff was fantastic to work with and made sure we were well informed and talked care of. The very large hottub was like have a small indoor pool! Make sure and visit the Princeton Flea Market and the nearby Amish Bakery. We will visit again in the future.

We had a great stay and experience at Adelines! Very quiet setting, brian was a great host and the house is truly one of a kind! Which was the experience we were looking for. We stayed for four nights but even a weekend visit (which we hope to do in the future) would be great. A family vacation that we wont forget.

We spent at Adeline's House of Cool the week of July 1st through July 8th, 2024. I had been looking at this home for 3 years and then life happened and we had to wait a bit to rent the home. Those 3 years were well worth the wait and then some.... and then some more! It had rained the 1st five days we were there but there was SO much to do inside and outside the house that no one seemed to notice or care. The house is absolutely GORGEOUS!! Every time sometime walked into a room, there was another hidden treasure found. I'm sure there are still things that we didn't find and I can't wait for our next visit to see all that we missed. Everyone walked the house and the grounds with their heads on a swivel and their jaws dropped down to the ground whenever they walked into a room. The owner, Brian and caretaker Tom, were there for us at every turn. Brian even took the time to keep us informed of events occurring in the area. Tom seemed to appear from no where whenever we needed him (amazing). I can't say enough about the care and concern Brian took to ensure my guests and I got the most out of this trip! Never ever, have I seen a host as caring and considerate as Brian. From the mailbox, our welcome sign, check in notes to see how we slept the first night, suggestions on what to do, and even during the rain, he took the time to let us know about firework shows that were cancelled. There's a reason every review is 5 stars! If I could give 20K stars I would! We can't wait to visit again. I highly recommend you take a break from life, head to Adeline's and watch how you're troubles simply fade away. HIGHLY recommend!!! Thank you again Brian for sharing your home and prized treasures with myself and my guests. Until next time.......

One of a kind experience We were hoping for a memorable, one of a kind experience for the family of 5. We have adult kids now and after years of vacations it is harder and harder to find unique experiences to keep building memories. In our search we found Adeline’s house of cool and we were excited to see it in our home state of WI. Our stay and experience was one of a kind. We enjoyed every aspect of the house and the ground and enjoyed the nearby activities. Won’t be disappointed if you are looking for a unique stay!

Rented this property for 5 days May-Jun 2024. House is very unique. Things of interest on all of the walls. You could spend hours just looking at those items on the wall. The adults enjoyed the game room with the pool table, slot machine and juke box. The toddler really enjoyed the hot tub. We also enjoyed the outside as well. Some outdoor games were provided such as croquet. The owner texted us every day to see if we had any issues. We appreciated that. Would definitely recommend this place.

I gathered a group of creative friends for a weeklong retreat to Adeline's, and we had an amazing time. For a large group, there is plenty of space to spread out and relax. My favorite places were the second floor, screened-in, wraparound porch (I even slept on one of the swings two nights) and the umbrella garden (great place for some yoga or a cookout). The owner Brian and the caretakers Tom and Drew checked in on us and made sure firewood was stocked and the luxurious hot tub was humming. There's so many wonderful places, collectibles to view--it definitely fueled a lot of creativity in our group.

We recently stayed for a long weekend at Adeline's House of Cool. We can't say enough nice things about the experience and the attention to detail you get from the owners of this property. They were incredibly responsive via text and even made a site visit very quickly to turn down temperature in the giant hot tub. It was a very memorable family trip that was a thrill for everyone from our two teenagers to our niece and nephews who are 7,4, and 2 years old. There are so many hidden bells and whistles in this very large house, and every space feels special. This property has to be one of the best rentals, airBnB's in the entire state of WI. We would definitely rent again, and would love to come back. *an extra nod and praise for the home's excellent collection of 80's era VHS tapes (and DVDs). It's really curated well and has essentials, and really cool deep cuts. Even the cinephiles in your group will be happy. :)

It is hard to put into words how incredible and unique this place is. The décor and amenities are fantastic. Attention to detail is beyond imagination, it feels like you have been transported to a magical place to stretch your imagination. Communication from the owner demonstrates how much he cares about your stay and wants the experience to be amazing. We had a surprise birthday party with a dozen people in attendance and the house was more than capable of accommodating all of us without having it feel the least bit crowded. If you are thinking about this as a destination, do it, the only regret you could have is missing out on staying at this most amazing house.

Happy 55th Birthday to me! I am one lucky lady to be surrounded by such beautiful people. Friendships dating 30+ years and Adelines House of Cool was the perfect place to gather. So much to see and do without ever having to leave the house. We had a fire roaring 24/7 and a variety of games to play and hats to wear and the hot tub, oh my! We ate like kings and partied like it was 1999. Thank you to our hosts Brian, Sam and Tom who regularly checked in to make sure we were comfortable and having a good time. We look forward to coming back in the summer to see the umbrella garden in full bloom and enjoy Lake Puckaway. Lisa & Michael Landmann - Feb 2024

Adeline's House of Cool is wonderland for all things fun, silly, quirky, and unique! This lovely home was beautiful inside and out. Plenty of room for our group to have space from each other and also be together. We built fires often, played games at the bar, and relaxed our weary selves in the luxurious hot tub. The slot machine was fun to play! Wish the pool table & pinball were cheaper (or free). We also had random happenings like tree trimmers showing up early one morning and someone coming by on the 2nd to last day to check on the hot tub chemicals.

A new Christmas tradition is born! We rented this miraculous property for our family Christmas getaway. I cannot say enough about how attentive the owner Brian and his staff were. Tom and Dean got us settled and were the absolute epitome of warmth and welcoming. Brian was prompt to respond to any question or need. We knew we would be staying at a unique house filled with fun and interesting things, but the attention paid to amenities and comfort are truly top notch. Comfy beds with lots of blankets and pillows and very clean (imagine a home filled with all these amazing things and yet not dust on anything!), The kids and adults alike were entertained nonstop playing games or taking a swim in the hot tub. My kids were bewildered that Santa found us at Adeline’s and had all their gifts under their beautiful Christmas tree. I couldn’t ask for more in a stay, and we will definitely be coming back!

Whimsical wonderland in Markesan WI! A Whimsical Wonderland by Lake Puckaway! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Adeline's Retreat, and I'm still enchanted by the magical experience! Nestled near the serene Lake Puckaway in Markesan, Wisconsin, this whimsical cabin is a treasure trove of delight for anyone seeking a unique and memorable getaway. From the moment you step through the door, you're transported into a world of wonders. The cabin is not just large; it's a labyrinth of antiques and oddities that tell stories of times gone by. Every corner holds a surprise, from vintage trinkets to quirky artifacts that spark curiosity. The highlight for me was undoubtedly the hot tub, more like a private swimming pool! It was an experience straight out of a dream. And if that wasn't enough, the game room offered endless entertainment, and the lively bar area with a pool table was the perfect spot for friendly competition. What sets Adeline's Retreat apart is the attention to detail. The colorful umbrella garden is a whimsical touch, adding a burst of joy to the surroundings. It's clear that the owners have put thought into creating an atmosphere that's not just a stay but an adventure. Booking was a breeze through their website (www.adelinesretreat.com), where I could easily request rates and available dates. The convenience and user-friendly interface made planning my stay stress-free. Whether you're seeking a weekend retreat with friends or a family vacation, Adeline's Retreat is the answer. It's a place where fun knows no bounds, and surprises await around every corner. I can't recommend this whimsical haven enough! Cheers to Adeline's Retreat for creating a magical escape by Lake Puckaway. I'm already planning my return to this delightful wonderland! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Staying at Adeline’s House of Cool was the best family vacation we ever had. The house is such a unique place to experience that we never ran out of things to do. We spent a rainy, October long weekend at Adeline's. Fortunately, there was so much "cool" to see and do in the house, we weren't bored. The indoor hot tub/pool was a hit with our 8-month-old granddaughter. The host was very responsive as was his handyman, Tom, who lit a fire in the fireplace shortly after we arrived to make us feel cozy.

We have been staying at Adelines for years now and still have a blast every time! The house is so unique and will keep you entertained for days. Brian, Drew and Tom are so easy to work with and are very welcoming. The hot tub is the absolute best and so is the bar area with games and a pool table. This place is great in both the summer, with its beautiful landscaped grounds, as well super cozy in the winter with its fireplace and giant hot tub.

It is very hard to put into words how Amazing this House is. Our group was truly in Awwww of its Intrigue and Mystery. Inside and out there is so much to see. It has Beautiful Flower Gardens, swings on the porches to relax and enjoy. The Umbrella Canopy is so interesting, music playing as you watch them swing the in the breeze. So many Statues along with, endless hidden little treasures. Then inside, every room is Country Elaborate Oak woodwork. The Fireplace in the Bar room is extraordinary Craftsmanship. So many laughs, along with a little fishing, some walking, bicycles for a little ride, and even a Fall flee market for some shopping then ending the night with a Campfire by the water. Such Beautiful rides thru the countryside, hills, along with the Amish liflestyle adding to the experience for us and 1 of their Creameries. I could go on but it's a must see. This is definite Treasure in Wisconsin. Thank you to Brian and his Staff.

Outrageously fabulous! We needed a large family cabin to rent and found Adeline's house of cool, we are so glad we did. We needed room for the entire family and a cabin rental that was pet friendly too. The bonus was the huge, and I mean huge hot tub room! Is that even a hot tub or is it a pool? Plus it has a fire place to boot. This place is crazy, as every day I found something in the house I never seen before. It is like I was on a treasure hunt. The kids and adult loved the game room, I especially loved the bar area. The outside is almost as crazy interesting as the inside... I have never seen so many umbrellas in my life. Loved... loved, loved the Laural & Hardy Statue... this place is a one of a kind treasure in Wisconsin, if you want to get away for a couple of days, weekend or week I highly recommend Adeline's House of Cool!

This place is like your personal ‘house on the rock’. There was so much to see and do in the home, and on property, we didn’t have to leave at all except for a supply trip. Our fav amenities here were the swing bar, slot machine, the fun wall reads in the bathrooms, the umbrella garden, the fireman’s pole, the fire pit out back, the stars are so clear here, and the giant hot tub of course! We are already planning our next trip here!

Best cabin rental on Lake Puckaway by far. We continue to return only to be amazed by the whimsical, creative menagerie adorning the interior and exterior grounds. Our game of “What’s New?” never disappoints as there are always new finds. This summer we were pleasantly surprised by backyard guests Laurel and Hardy. Singin’ in the rain with the Mariachi band under the rainbow of umbrellas was an experience not to be forgotten. Of course we always enjoy the soothing waters of the Italian marble hot tub. Staying here will definitely be an experience of a life time you will want to repeat.

Friends outing 9/14-9/17/2023 We had the loveliest of experiences and enjoyed our trip so very much this last weekend! Would highly recommend! We went with a group of friends in which we have an outing once a year. This one we might very well make an annual trip to this same location. So many areas to stretch out, explore, discover. It was everything and more the 11 of us had hoped for!

This place is absolutely amazing! They have everything you need to just walk in and have a relaxing vacation! Yard games, fire pit outside, two fireplaces inside, gigantic, hot tub (that’s actually hot!), very comfortable beds, wraparound porch on the first and second floor, swings and places to relax absolutely everywhere! This house was designed with comfort in mind. You could stay here any number of times and still not taken all of the detail that this place has to offer! 10 out of 10, absolutely plan on going back any chance we can!

A Beautiful Memory Maker Five of us (senior world travelors) stayed at Adeline for a week in early Sep 2023. At a risk of repeating what so many other reviewers have said, all thats left to say is WOW, or Holy Cr#p, this place is cool! This isnt just a house rental but a memory making experience. The house has so many museum quality items strewn around and knick knacks it places you in a reminiscing state of mind for better times. That must be the reason that drew several movie stars we heard about staying here. To further add a personal touch to meet your needs Brian has a smooth communication system set up thru local skilled personnel that made us feel we were checking into our own home. Upon cheching in we found our names on the mail box with a letter already in it. The local skilled property managers were available anytime to instantly and quietly attend to our needs. Well done and thank you Brian for sharing your house, which we discovered, is a Nationally Registered Historic location. You have a site to be proud of and one we'll return to. (no stuff wild animal speciman were touched or otherwise abused in the filming of our stay). ;)

This place is a gem! We stayed here for our annual family Labor Day trip. Such a unique stay and definitely something to experience. If you are on the fence renting it, just do it! It’s an incredible home with just cool treasures and trinkets hiding everywhere. The beds were super comfortable. We enjoyed spending time in the hot tub, bar area and all the outdoor spaces. The umbrella garden is a unique experience. Thanks for sharing this special place with us. We all had a wonderful time!

Having lived in California for the last ten years I got used to doing two hour drives outside of Los Angeles for some peace, quiet, stargazing and sometimes rowdiness with friends and family. To my complete and utter shock, you can find the same thing two(ish) hours outside of Chicago. Adeline's is hands down the coolest weekend escape--within five minutes of getting our bags inside and the beer into the fridge, I could feel my entire family slip into a deep AND FUN ease. Play some pinball, shoot some pool, hop in the jacuzzi and put on your favorite Michael Macdonald album and zone out. The amount of personality and stories inside the walls is enough to make you reconsider ever renting a different AirBNB with a freshly bought Live Laugh Love banner, plaid grandma couches and a Gone Fishin' sign on the front door. GO HERE! THANK ME LATER! THANK YOU BRIAN! Oh and as I mentioned before, the stars are great.

What a great place for a vacation no matter what your age. So many quirky unusual things to see and have fun with-the huge hot tub, pool table, outdoor bag game, pinball machine, and more. We were a family that included kids, grandparents and a dog. Beautiful outdoor area for biking and porches to just relax and enjoy. Also important was an on-sight manager that answered any questions we had and made us aware of activities in the area. We sure hope to return.

My extended family and I (6 adults, 5 kids and 1 dog) had a fun stay at Adeline's House of Cool this past weekend. It had plenty of spaces for us to hang out in full and in smaller groups. There was so much to do and look at that we were never bored. Highly recommended.

The House of Cool was a perfect gathering spot for me and my extended family. There was room for us all and space for us to hang out both in full and in smaller groups. The House was constantly checking in to see how we were doing and always responsive to questions. We wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Our multigenerational family had a wonderful reunion at the House of Cool. Do not miss a nap on one of the swinging bed benches on the upper wrap-around porch. Spacious, lots of activities for the family, nooks and crannies, beautiful wooden bar. We loved walking in the wildlife preserve nearby. Quiet and rural with nearby lakes for swimming and boating. The hot tub was lovely.

Perfect place to gather with a group. The large indoor hot tub is basically a warm indoor pool that fit six adults and a kid with lots of room to spare. I've never seen anything like it. The first floor is a great place for everyone to have fun together, but there is also plenty of room indoors and out to find some privacy if you need it. Would love to stay there again.

We loved our stay at Adeleins! We stayed for a week on a family vacation and we all agree it was one of the most unique cool places to stay. We saw something new in the decor everyday and it was kept very clean! We really enjoyed the hot tub, enclosed upstairs patio, fire pit, and bar area with the pool table. We traveled with our dogs and they absolutely loved the huge yard to run around in. Brian and Tom were very helpful and easy to work with. They were attentive and made sure we were taken care of and that we enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend staying at Adeleins as it is a once in a lifetime stay

We couldn’t be more pleased with our stay at Adeline’s House of Cool. We had 11 people and 3 dogs and the house fit us all perfectly. The yard is huge which the dogs loved. We spent many hours in the giant indoor hot tub and played pool into the wee hours!!! Thank you for offering such a unique house. Such great memories were made.

Adeline's House of Cool was the perfect location to share our honeymoon with family and friends! Upon arrival we grinned and eagerly began to explore. Our entired group was so enthralled with all Adeline's had to offer. It felt as though we were children filled with wonder and amazement! We had several guests state that it was "the best time they've ever had". We certainly agree, we couldn't have been more impressed! Adeline's House of Cool far exceeded our expectations.

Four Generation Family Outing Our family (4 generations, ages 9 months to 80 years) spend a wonderful 4 days at Adeline’s House of cool. A cottage like no other, with thousands of unique collectibles and goofy quirks, we greatly enjoyed our time at Adeline’s House of Cool. Peaceful time spent on porch swings , hot tub and bonfires to crazy laughter discovering all the hidden surprises in this eclectic cottage ! Every day we walked around the cottage, we would find new things to laugh at, talk about, or show each other. Even if you spent a year at this place, we are convinced that you could still find something that you had never seen before! Truly an experience unlike any other! This cottage was very clean and well-kept, even with the many decorations! The cottage is on a nice street to walk right by a beautiful lake and has friendly neighbors. The location is very nice as it is out of the hubbub of The Dells, but it is an hour away from The Dells so make sure to factor that into your activity planning! The cottage’s host Brian and his team were attentive and checked in on us often to be sure our stay was comfortable. We would definitely recommend this unique accommodation for a family seeking memories and good laughs. The Smith Family

Our group stayed for a few days during our spring break and had the best time! The weather was a bit chilly but kids spend most of the time in the hot tub! The bar area was well loved by everyone, playing games or just hanging out. We enjoyed learning the history of the property as well as exploring all the interesting things. We hope to make it back when the weather is warmer to explore the area more. Excellent communication with both Tom and Brian, very attentive!

Not your typical spring break💕 We went with 4 adults, 5 teenagers, 1 pooch and this place was Perfect!! There’s so much to see/explore, we were still finding new things on our last day. From the 2 fireplaces to the jukebox, slot machine(that actually pays out), the tuned piano, games, hot tub big enough to be a pool, and the fireman’s pole…you won’t get bored! The kitchen was plenty big (we even made homemade pasta). The owner kept in touch everyday to see how things were going and the personal tour from Tom was greatly appreciated! (He needs to show you a few of the hidden features 😉) We are already planning our next visit here!

Cooler than Cool! What a fun way to spend a weekend with family. Our kids 7, 5, and 3 had the best time! The hot tub was the main attraction with the game room as a close second. The house is huge and all of the rooms are comfotable. Kitchen and dining area were perfect size for entertaining. We are already planning a trip back in the summer so we can grill and enjoy the beautiful back yard.

What a fun weekend get-away. This place has so much to do without even leaving the house. Huge hot tub, slots that pay out often, pool (extra charge), a cozy den with ample comfy seating for movie nights, and of course, the bar room. The grandbabes loved it; bring quarters (you will get most of them back). And the rooms were surprisingly quiet. We cooked all of our dinners in the kitchen, which was stocked really well. Even used the grill one evening. Especially impressive was Tom meeting us there with a welcome fire in the beautiful chimney. He showed us around and came back to treat the hot tub on Sunday, making sure we had everything we needed. The owner texted throughout the weekend as well, just to be sure everything was going well. This kitchsy--museum-of-an air bnb was the perfect winter get away for our family: six very satisfied adults and four happy little ones. Do it!

Girls weekend 2023 Spent a long weekend at Adeline’s House of Cool. 11 girl friends catching up and playing games (a little drinking too). There is so much to see and explore in this house! Played lots of pool, dice, cards, pinball and slot machine. Harry’s Half Pint bar is awesome! On our very cold weekend we enjoyed the fireplace and the hot tub! The beds were comfortable and being a rather large house it was still cozy! I highly recommend this as your next get away! The hot tub is awesome and well maintained. The kitchen has everything you need. The upstairs living room is very comfortable. Adelines House of Cool is a must-go for a meetup or getaway! We booked this place for a birthday celebration and we're already planning to come back in the future. The pictures don't do this place justice - there is so much to look at that I doubt we've seen everything here. The hot tub is more amazing than expected and there's plenty of entertainment outside the tub. There really isn't a way to describe how cool this place really is. The owner and staff were exceptional to work with as well. 10/10 experience.

Our 3-generation family stay at the House of Cool, was just that, cool. The weather was cool too, so we didn’t get a lot of outdoor time, but there was still plenty to do and see. We loved, loved the Hot tub and the pool table was entertaining too. We had a family pool tournament, which got us all up and enjoying each others’ company. Our 10 year-old was the winner!! The kitchen had everything needed to make some awesome meals. There was lots of room for everyone to find their own space too. We’ll definitely plan on a return visit during warmer weather.

Wow this is the coolest airbnb I have ever stayed in it was so thoughtfully done. The entire place is a wild museum filled with antiques games a sense of humor/a lot of soul. There is no bad room in the house. Obviously the massive hot tub is a highlight, but the room itself has natural light pouring through on both sides, the symmetry, ...there is somethjng special about the space. You could spend a lot of time in threre. A work of art. Not to mention, the outdoor spaces and grounds are stunning cannot say enough how enough how magical of an experience it was staying here

Where do I start?!? I wanted a place to get together with my kids and grandkids. I was looking for a place with plenty of space, a pool table, fire pit, wood burning fireplace, a kitchen, a hot tub , and plenty of unexpected things to entertain my family. Adelines House of Cool delivered on EVERY level. Brian and his crew are top notch hosts and were attentive to everything! The game room was an absolute hit. We love playing pool. It was cold outside, but we were plenty warm inside. It’s hard to say which season would be the best to stay here…because there is so much to do and enjoy at any time of year. We all wanted to stay longer, and are hoping to come back next year to do it again! There are lots of unexpected things, so I won’t spoil the surprise…. But this place is definitely worth it. Anyone looking at the pictures of Adeline’s can clearly tell that they are in for something special and unique and the real thing totally surpasses it But here’s the thing, with all the decor and knick knacks, I totally expected some dust…I mean, there’s no way they can dust everything between visitors, right? But NO DUST! It really is SO clean! Our group ranged from 80’s to 50s to 20s to 10s to canines and all had a great time. We had one Saturday outing- to the Flea Market, rummage sale and antique shops in nearby Princeton. Check the town out if you are an eclectic/vintage shopper (we saw several things that would fit in beautifully in the House of Cool.). The hot tub is particularly enjoyable and we all played pool, pinball, the slot machine and listened to the jukebox. We also were interested to read about the history of the site. It is on the National Register of historic places according to the sign outside, and Adeline was quite the character! Thanks Brian, for your creative vision and for providing an excellent and entertaining destination for our family celebration!

Just unpacked from a week at Adeline's celebrating my birthday with the family. It was amazing. Kids loved the pinball, scavenger hunts, and figuring out the fun rotary phones. We all loved the hot tub, well stocked kitchen, and bar, and multiple dining areas. Of all the little spots around some our favorites were the swinging benches on the upper wrap around porch, and the back swinging picnic table benches. Oh and how could I forget the umbrella garden, It was such a great spot for pictures and to watch the breeze create waves of color! The breezeway was perfect for playing card games with the family, enjoying the cool summer nights perfectly protected from the bugs. The only thing I wish could be changed was the lake - when we were there the water was low and lake was very weedy. I cant knock the house of cool for that though - we had so many other cool things to do that we hardly missed boating around. One final thing, the owner (Brian) was always very responsive, and super helpful providing information on activities for the family. The caretaker (Tom) helped us figure out everything, and made sure the pool and grounds were perfect. We've already begun planning a return trip to experience the house in a different season!

a phenomenal place. the cabin is exactly as eclectic as the photos show. it was hard to get people out of the hot-tub located at the place. the only caveat i would add to the place is its a fairly rural location. expect do some some moderate driving if you want to go anywhere. but don't let that discourage you from this place. its definitely worth a stay if you have a large party

My family spent a great week at Adeline's. The house truly is amazing, with so many things to look at and so many things to do. My 10 yr old grandson learned to play pool and corn hole. He and my 2 yr old granddaughter spent hours in the huge indoor hot tub every day - the caretaker, Tom, turned the hot tub temperature down to 80 degrees making it perfect for the kids - and they didn't get overheated. There are many stained glass windows are beautiful - including a huge awning over the front entrance. Everywhere you look, there is something new to see and investigate. The outdoor living is terrific at Adeline's - we loved having coffee every morning on the screened upstairs wrap around porch. The property is set on an inlet of lake Puckaway. There is lots of room outside for the kids to run around. There is a secluded "umbrella garden" that was perfect for the 2 yr old since it was surrounded by shrubs so she couldn't wander off. The owner, Brian, was very responsive - even though he lives in Chicago. For example, Adeline's has bikes for the renters to use, but no helmets (maybe there are no helmet laws in WI?). I texted Brian about helmets and within a couple hours, he had contacted a neighbor and she brought over helmets for us to borrow for the week! The kitchen at Adeline's is perfect for cooking and grilling - I cooked and grilled for our 5 adults/2 kids every night. There were 2 coffee makers so we never ran out of coffee in the morning. There was also a griddle for making pancakes. There is an extra charge for having access to the laundry room, but it was well worth it for having that convenience. The area around Adeline's is fairly remote - 20 minutes to the nearest Piggly Wiggly, but there is plenty to do in the house. We also took a day trip over to Wisconsin Dells (about an hour drive) to see the Dells and do some touristy activities. We saw numerous Amish families riding in their horse and biggies, which was cool to see. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to visit the local Amish store I highly recommend Adeline's for a family or group vacation. With the 6 bedrooms and tons of sitting areas, there is room to spread out - but also to gather - the kitchen table, with bench seating, probably could seat 12. Adeline's is a place to make lots a great memories!

We had a great stay at this house. Our plan was a non working vacation of no lines or traffic jams, and that’s what we got. We were still finding cool things throughout the house on the last day, so staying busy was easy. The hot tub, kayaking, Yardzee, billiards, s’mores by the fire pit, riding the bikes, and shopping the local Amish stores made for a terrific week. I’d recommend this house to anyone with a large group looking for a relaxing location, away from the city, needing to recharge their batteries.

This is a great and entertaining house. We’ve done vacation rental houses around the country and this was a particularly good one. We specifically wanted one off the beaten path, with no plans to wait in amusement park lines or fight traffic. The house is so whimsical that we spent most of the first afternoon just marveling at all the hidden treasures on the walls, ceiling, and display cases. We played billiards, pinball, Yardzee by the crackling fire pit, slid down the fireman’s pole, rowed our kayak and rental paddle boards from the dock out into the lake, and finished each day in the giant hot tub. We got out to the Amish bakeries, shopped for incredibly fine Amish furniture, went to quaint country stores, and rode the bikes. We all particularly liked the tranquil umbrella garden. In the morning we’d sit out under the rainbow of colors sipping coffee. Sitting by the fire pit making s’mores we saw deer running through the neighborhood, a huge beaver grabbing plants from the neighbors yard and munching them in the canal. The beds were comfy, the kitchen adequately stocked for nine people, and the A/C kept the temps comfortable. Having only one full bath upstairs had a few of us running to the downstairs bathrooms, but for a hundred year old house, it was to be expected. The charm of the house offset any minor inconvenience. We’d rent this house again without question.

Adeline… your house is way cool. The spirit of it can’t be captured, no matter how many pictures you take (my best guess is our family took over 300!). We stayed there for three days and never wanted to leave to explore the surrounding area because there was so much to do and appreciate. Adeline’s has 6 bedrooms, so our entire family stayed there. There was so much to do together in all of the different spaces. There is the bar (not just a bar as in a bar in the corner - but a true bar where you walk into a huge room to find a pool table, slot machine, pinball, fireplace, dance space, and games) the indoor hot tub room, the upper-level movie room, firepit, waterfront and dock. My favorite outdoor area is without a doubt the umbrella garden. If you want to spread out and have some time to yourself, there is a wrap-around porch that goes around the lower and upper level with endless places to pick a comfortable spot. For quick access back to the main floor, use the firepole! From thoughtful and personalized touches by the owner to endless surprises throughout, it is one of the best places I have ever rented. Easily 10/10. If you don’t have fun at Adeline’s, you are just no fun at all!!

We took a delayed 40th anniversary vacation with our kids and their guests. There are so many fun things to do! Even a rainy day doesn’t get boring. One piece of advice: If you set something down somewhere, remember where you put it. The house is huge and full of EVERYTHING! (The phone booth by the fire pit works to call the old time phones throughout the house!!) They are currently working on an umbrella area outside. I hope we can go back to see a finished product. The owner and caretakers made sure everything was ready for our visit and our questions were answered. We were also somewhat surprised to find the beds very comfortable!

Wow!! This place is AMAZEBALLS!!!! Our family stayed for a long weekend to celebrate our son and his girlfriend's graduation from UW Madison, and the house did not disappoint. There was plenty of room to gather together, beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. So many fun and quirky things around every corner. 2 of the kids decided to sleep on the hanging beds located on the 2nd story screened in porch because the weather was perfect for that. We enjoyed playing yard games in the afternoon and time in the hot tub in the evenings. The piano was perfect for family jam sessions while taking turns playing pool in the game room. The caretaker, Tom, popped in to greet us and checked in each day to make sure all was good. The owner also checked in regularly via text--nice guy! The kitchen is well-equipped with dishes and utensils and the gas grill was perfect for making dinner each night. We are already talking about dates that will work to go back.

Had such a weird, spooky, fun bachlorette sleepover weekend here! We barely left the air bnb & never ran out of things to do. So fun to have the “bar” feel built in and the multiple wrap around porches weee so great. So many things to explore and look at. The hot tub is *chefs kiss*. My girlfriends and I are talking about making it an annual trip. Excellent place to have fun, quality time with people. Communication was great, too - oven broke one night and the property manager was there the next morning. Owner checked in every day via text.

We stayed at Adeline's House of Cool in March of 2022 as a Spring Break getaway for our family of four. What a fun and unique cabin! The first thing we noticed (besides all of the interesting decor) was how very CLEAN the entire cabin was, which is no easy feat given its size! The caretaker, Tom, was fantastically nice and gave us a great introductory tour. The owner, Brian, texted every day of our stay to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. On our second day, we noticed the heat wasn't working upstairs. I texted Tom, and he got back to me right away. He was at the cabin within the hour, and had a heating company come out to fix the problem within 3 hours. The pride that both Tom and Brian show in the place is obvious. The weather was pretty chilly for most of our stay, but we found plenty within the cabin to keep us busy. The kids enjoyed playing Pinball and pool (bring your quarters!) The adults liked the slot machine. We all enjoyed the giant hot tub, and spent many hours relaxing and splashing around in it. We did manage to sneak in a fire outdoors on our first night, and had a blast checking out the beautiful setting surrounding the cabin. There isn't much in the area as far as restaurants, so make sure to plan out most of your meals to eat at the cabin. We did grab one dinner out at Tucked Away, a local bar. The food was great, as was the service. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a relaxing weekend away in a remote setting. The cabin is quiet, clean and comfortable (the beds were amazing!) And the service provided by both Tom and Brian is top notch. You won't regret renting this cabin!!

Greatest rental house ever! The awesome antiques and eclectic decor will keep you staring at the walls and ceilings for hours. The game room is over the top, one of the coolest pinball games I've ever played. The hot tub - well just look at the pictures. It's almost big enough to be a swimming pool, will fit lots of people comfortably, perfect temperature water, you feel like a Roman emperor in it!!! Bedrooms are comfy, awesome yard right on the water with a pier for boats, and plenty of great places to visit in the area. Ive rented a lot of homes all over the world, and this place is definitely one of the best ever.

The name suites!! Adeline's House of Cool is just that. On our recent stay we played the jukebox, the slot machine and the pinball. Enjoyed drinks at the bar. Spent a rediculous amount of time in the giant hot tub. Cozied up to the fireplace. It was very cold, so we didn't spend a lot of time outside, but I am sure the place is even more spectacular in the summer. The owner was warm, funny and very communicative. The host was similarly enjoyable. Will be bringing our friends next time!

We had a wonderful time at Adeline's House of Cool! Our hosts Brian and Tom went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and were having a good time. Of all of the cabins we stayed at, this one was by far the cleanest. The XL hot tub is absolutely amazing, we swam in it daily. The arcade games were a blast. The attention to detail such as our name in the entryway and mailbox was so cool! I do most of the planning when it comes to picking out a cabin and booking it, and my family does most of the critiquing. This is the first cabin no one had a single complaint about.

If you're looking for a nice winter getaway look no further! Adaline's has an absolutely amazing hottub room that's warm and cozy and a welcome break from Wisconsin's winter temperatures. But that's not all! There are all kinds of fun things to do - pool table, darts, a slot machine among other things. Come with your significant other or a group of people as there are plenty of bedrooms for everyone. The owner is very responsive and ensures you have a wonderful stay. You have to see this for yourself, there's no way to describe it to someone and the pictures (although fantastic) do not do it justice. A group of us girls like to have a getaway, not too far from home, once a year. I stumbled on an article about Adeline's and was blown away that none of us had ever heard of it. So immediately I booked!! Booking and payment were so easy, they were very responsive to any and all questions we had. We arrived and we just couldn't stop smiling with every room we walked in to and every day after someone noticed something new. First night we had drinks, enjoyed dancing by the bar playing the jukebox and our own music through the amazing sound system, playing pool, etc. We were blessed with a beautiful weather day the next day and enjoyed sitting outside playing some yard games (they had them onsite). Hot tub was enjoyed thoroughly. We used the room off of the bar to do a craft and play bingo and the room upstairs was perfect for the 11 of us to watch the Packer game and enjoy snacks. The beds were so comfortable and the wrap around porches are to die for. Tom, who is the caretaker, is just a true genuine person. He help all of us needy ladies, with whatever we needed. He came by the first day to help us build a fire inside, show us how somethings worked, and so on. He was super attentive and always just a phone call away. We've already booked for 2022. Do yourself and your friends/family a solid and book time here. It's AMAZING!!

I recently came back from a, long-anticipated, family vacation at Adeline’s House of Cool. We spent a full week at the incredibly fascinating house that offered as much to do indoors as it does outdoors. There were eight of us that ventured north to Lake Puckaway to relax and play at the enchanting home of Adeline. The kitchen was well appointed for meal preparation and with two full and a half bath there was never any waiting for a shower. We had inclement weather for two days but spent those inside relaxing in the huge hot tub, playing billiards and board games and taking amazing naps in the comfy porch swings. Once outside we were able to kayak and fish right off the property. We were thrilled to catch a Blue Gill and Perch within minutes of casting our rods. There is also a large fire pit with plenty of chairs to relax after sunset. Both Brian, the owner, and Tom, the caretaker were wonderfully helpful with anything we needed. I would absolutely recommend Adeline’s House of Cool for a family vacation or a girl (or guys) get-away. We look forward to visiting again!

EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS!!! Prepare to unplug and rewind through space and time at Adeline's House of Cool! Our group included six couples for a weekend getaway with no regrets, other than not planning for a longer trip. Don't want to give any spoilers, but I can tell you the magic began before we even opened the front door. Brian and his staff take care to provide that extra something special to make each group feel more like friends and family vs. just another customer. In my opinion, these added touches make Adeline's better than a five star hotel. Once inside there are so many things to see and do for all ages. No matter your interests, there is sure to be something that will fill you with intrigue and/or nostalgia. One could spend days looking at all of the "treasures" around the house. If this doesn't suite you, there is still plenty to keep you and yours entertained. This includes a plethora of board games, books, VHS tapes, DVD's, pool table, dart board, working slot machine (someone in out group even ended up ahead!), bikes for riding, boards for bags, fishing (be sure to have a license and bring poles), and of course the huge hot tub just to name a few. With so much to see and do on the almost acre of property, there's no need to leave. If you are feeling adventurous there are plenty of excursion ideas at the front desk. I personally recommend the antique shops on Dalton (where we picked up a couple unique pieces of our own) and the Amish Bakery in Pardeeville. We are already working to book a trip for next year and a possible winter getaway... Because I don't want to wait that long to go back, lol! Other Notes: The front drive is perfect for loading and unloading. There is also plenty of additional parking on each side of the house. (No need to carpool.) Many seating areas provide the ability to stay connected and still have your own space if/when needed. (All swings are surprisingly sturdy!) Sound system and multiple Wi-Fi connections allow you to easily stream the music of your choice, but we had more fun with random pics on the Juke Box! 😁 The kitchen is well stocked including two coffee makers, and even a crock-pot. It may seem odd for the caretaker, Tom, to stop by and show you around the property, but this is truly for your benefit. He knows "secrets" of the house we may not have found on our own. 😉

My wife surprised me for my 50th Bday. Brought the family and dog and a few college friends. Was such a nice break from reality. Great space, lots of it. Good firepit and great host! Only downfall is that they charge for using pool table. I get the other items to charge, but the pool table should be made for free. Otherwise, not 1 negative comment!

Where to start? Cool doesn't even begin to describe this place. Everywhere you look there's something jaw-dropping to see. Where in the world did this crazy collection come from? But not just a feast for the eyes but so much to DO-pool, pinball, a slot that pays out, board games, working VCR and DVD player with a zillion tapes and CD's, books and...drum roll...and AMAZING Hot Tub that was bigger than some pools! Tom was so accommodating and responsive to our questions. The place was spotless (how do they keep everything cobweb free??). We'll long remember our mini family reunion and can't wait to gather here again! Thanks Brian for sharing your treasure with us!

We just came home from a three nights stay at Adeline’s House of Cool! It totally surpassed our expectations! We were in awe when we entered the property and saw so many stunning features and artifacts! Not to mention the taxidermy which was just out of this world! I was left questioning how in the world they keep everything so spotless and free of dust which is miraculous in and of itself. The entire house was spotless! Some of our favorites included the fireplaces, which kept us nice and toasty all day, the giant size hot tub/pool, the bar, the slot machine (which we did win on a few separate times!), the pool table, juke box, fireman’s pole, wrap around patio/porch, all the taxidermy and the amazing stained glass in every room! The owner, Brian was also amazing and checked in on us everyday and before we even arrived. Customer service in general was very responsive as we made several requests to change and add on items. I highly recommend adding on washer/dryer and the coolers. Tom the greeter and keeper, also came each day to check in and check the hot tub quality. We cannot wait to come back in the summer to fully enjoy the outdoor experience which looks grand even covered in snow!

We stayed at Adeline's for a 3 day winter getaway weekend with 5 other couples in January. We had a blast. This place is unique, beautiful and so much fun. You never stop discovering things! It was clean and had everything we needed. The maintenance guy Tom was great in answering questions. The owner Brian gave us the ultimate customer service experience before, during and after our stay. THE BEST!

My family has been visiting the House of Cool since I was 12 (I'm 22 now) and every time we find something new to do and enjoy. Between the hot tub, pinball, pool table, nickle game and so much more you're never left bored or wondering what to do. It's a great time in any season for any reason!

This home is really something special! It is so unique, the eclectic design is like playing the "I Spy" books. We visited as a family with ages 0, 7, 10, and folks in their 20's, 30's and the grandparents. There was something for everyone. We brought our own firewood and loved using the beautiful fireplaces, playing the arcade games, and of course the hot tub pool! This was a perfect winter staycation that was Covid safe. The host Brian and the greeter Tom were very kind and helpful. The pictures don't do it justice, definitely a cool experience!

My family and I have been coming here since i was 4 and have seen this place develop into an awesome getaway retreat. The pinball, slot machine, nickel game, and hot tub always keep us entertained, as well as the other countless activities at adelines. Being 17 this year it’s crazy to look back on all of the memories made there with friends and family. Thank you guys for giving me unforgettable childhood memories!! It is always a blessing to stay there!

Spent a nice winter weekend at Adeline's. The caretaker, Tom, showed us the ropes and got a nice fire going. The owner, Brian, checked in via text to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The house was spotless and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the obvious features: the full wet bar, hot tub, games, and fire pole. There's so much to look at and explore. The hidden gem for me was the VHS collection! We had fun combing through the tapes and pulling some we remembered from childhood or had never heard of before to watch. It would be great to come back in the summer and enjoy the outdoor space. The cherry on top was that, when I got home and realized I had left my coat behind, Brian arranged to have it mailed back to me quickly, which I really appreciated!

Awesome winter getaway for our extended family! Loads of indoor activities and fun, but bring nickels for a cool old school game (quarter machine for pinball, juke box, and pool table is on site:) Enjoyed walking on the frozen lake, too!

Adeline's is a unique experience you won't soon forget. We recently visited for a weekend with my 6 young adult children and 80 year old father and his 78 year old sister. There was something there for everyone to enjoy. From sitting in the rockers by a freshly lit fire, to having a drink at the bar, to listening to oldies on the juke box, to a little pin ball.... fun was had by all. The place was clean and well kept up which is amazing with all the antiques, knick knacks, and conversation pieces. And the hot tub was amazing on a cold winter's night. I would highly recommend it to any group up to 12 and it was a great plus that they allowed dogs. Definitely visit - you won't forget it!

This place is mesmerizing! We all needed a getaway - something else to look at instead of our blank walls. Truly an escape that lifted our spirits. Kids had a blast outside in the snow and inside in the hot tub and with the variety of games. Dog friendly which we love. And we all went down the fire pole (well, not the dog)! Brian and Tom were fabulous hosts. Can't wait to go back!

There are so many positive things to say that I don’t know where to start. From the time of my first inquiry about the property I was met with kind, responsive, and professional service. Although that may not sound like much, it is a true rarity anymore to find great customer service. We booked the home for Thanksgiving never having been there before but wanting to try something new. Many times pictures online are deceiving - again, not the case with Adeline’s. It was amazing and all 10 guests felt the same way, from the youngest at 10 to the oldest! It was clean both inside and out. We were met by Tom who was such a delight. He started a cozy fire, and provided some friendly conversation, while answering a ton of questions from the kids on the history of the property. The scavenger hunt was fun for all ages. My only complaint is that I needed the answers to the hunt as I was the judge and there was a prize for the winning team! In addition to Tom, Brian, the owner, periodically checked in (via phone) to ensure everything was acceptable. House of Cool is pet friendly which was a huge plus for our family. It is hard enough to find a place that accepts four dogs and has no weight restrictions. The number of rooms available and the pet policy were the major factors in our decision to stay here. The reasonable rates were a bonus. We are already planning for a trip back to House of Cool in the summer months to experience more fun times outside and on the lake. A huge “thank you” to Chelsea, Tom, and Brian for a memorable trip!

Our family of 5 had a wonderful time at Adeline's!!! The house is so spacious and has just about anything you need. The house has so much fun stuff to do we were never bored and we were able to have home cooked meals every day!The hot tub was so great and totally needed by all, a very good way to de-stress. We are currently remodeling our home so it was a very nice getaway and again much needed away time! Tom the manager is very nice and close by if you should need anything and Brian the owner communicated with us daily to make sure our needs were being met. I highly recommend Adeline's House of Cool to all for a great fun getaway for the whole family!

From the moment that I first discovered and inquired about this unique place, I was filled with great anticipation for my son's 30th birthday celebration with the family! Scheduling with Chelsea was terrific, even when I needed to change dates. She was both professional and gracious! Brian checked in with us on the day of our arrival and throughout the weekend to make sure we would have everything that we needed! I was delighted to find a kind letter, waiting in the mailbox, to welcome us when we arrived. (So many thoughtful touches like this throughout the weekend!) Tom, the caretaker, cheerfully greeted us to show us everything that we would need to know about the house and also left his phone number for us to call him if we needed anything. Our three night stay in this amazing place provided spacious accommodations for 8 adults and 2 children! It was a weekend of adventures where everyone enjoyed the giant hot tub, both fireplaces, a croquet game outdoors, playing pool and arcade games. The lower and upper porches are absolutely charming, with many inviting areas to sit or swing! One highlight of the weekend was a scavenger hunt that took advantage of all the eccentric items throughout the house! Both full bathrooms had showers with big, spa-like, shower heads, that were very nice! The whole family fit comfortably around the large dining room table for meals and also around the big tv upstairs, where we sat on three full couches to play Jackbox games. All in all, it was an incredible experience! I'm thankful that in the midst of a pandemic, we found a safe, fun, way to be together!

We stayed at Adeline’s for a week in October and had an awesome time. This was our second visit and was just as amazing as the first one. We were supposed to be in Cancun, but Thanks to COVID, that was canceled - thankfully Adeline’s was available for the week we wanted. Thanks to Tom and Brian for taking such good care of us. We will definitely be back.

I rented out the House of Cool for a few days to celebrate my partner's birthday with some friends, and the space was beyond anything any of us could have expected. Everywhere you look there is something new to discover and enjoy, the decor and atmosphere of the entire home is magical. There are too many elements to describe thoroughly and I would strongly recommend just spending some time there yourself for the full experience. The hot tub will fit the entire household at once, the fireplaces will keep the place cozy and comfortable, the bar area, games, and pool table will make you feel like you're not living in a global health crisis. Honestly, this place is just cool. We'll be back for sure!

Adeline's House of Cool was a great way to spend time with our adult children. We had enough room to gather everyone in the bar/pool table area and around the dining room table at dinner. Everyone enjoyed the sitting around the fireplace and in the hot tub. The upstairs tv room was an added bonus for those needing time away from the crowd. The bedrooms were very relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked. We traveled about 4 hours so bringing less kitchen items was a hit in this Mama's world. You won't regret your stay at the House of Cool. Safe travels!

We decided to take a family vacation this year closer to home, and somehow got lucky enough to end up at Adeline's House of Cool. From the atmosphere to the management, it's the best thing you can do with your time and money. You might be intrigued and impressed by the photos, but nothing can really show you how much time and effort went into making this place beyond perfect. Brian is the owner and was fantastic and communicative, Tom was the manager of the property and was also incredibly nice and helpful. The place itself is... awe-inspiring. You can't help but be in a good mood just sitting around with your people. You truly don't need to do anything but hang out there to have a great time. I stayed there for 5 days, and it was definitely not enough time. We planned on doing more outside of the home, but I almost wish we did less, because it was so much fun there. I can't imagine not coming back again. 10/10

We had the pleasure of staying at Brian’s place over Labor Day weekend, and had an amazing time. The property is beautifully kept, and the neighbors are friendly. It’s located right on the water, so bring your fishing pole. Also perfect for boating. The house itself is amazing. There’s so much to see and do in the house. We were provided with a scavenger hunt, but ended up creating our own as well, because there’s just so much to find. You’ll notice something new every time you walk through the house. The bedrooms were comfortable and get really dark at night for a great night of sleep. The highlight of the stay was definitely the hot tub/pool. We spent most of our time swimming and playing in the pool. The temperature is perfect, especially on a cool night. S’mores by the fire pit were also a great way to end each night. I would highly recommend Adeline’s to anyone interested in a little getaway.

My friends and I loved our stay at Adeline’s! The house is insanely cool and there’s always fun things to do inside of and around the house. We had some problems with the wifi when we first arrived, but after reaching out we received a quick response and the issue was resolved promptly. I loved using the bikes on the property and hanging out on the porch on beautiful nights. I hope to be back again some day!

Amazing property, perfectly designed to get away and sink into vacation. The games room is just big enough for everyone to enjoy themselves in their own space, but small enough to always feel together. The antiques are everywhere, but never feel crowded, just enough to fill every space perfectly. The bedrooms aren't big, but have everything you need to be comfortable and cozy. The TV/fireplace area upstairs is another great space that contrasts wonderfully against the rest of the house. The hot tub/pool room will make feel like a Roman Emperor, truly decadent, well maintained and superbly designed. We played croquet on the idyllic lawn area in the back and the landscaping atmosphere made it feel like we were at a European castle. Our kids used the pier to launch our canoes on to the lake, and while we didn't get around to fishing this time, the neighbor said the channel is a great area for it. After a few days here its almost hypnotic, you have everything you need inside, access to lots of outdoor activities close by, and a privacy that makes you drift away from the stresses of everyday life. Too many wonderful features to list here, but if you ever wished you could rent a few rooms at House on the Rock, this is the closest you'll ever get.

Thank you to Brian and the staff for sharing your magical retreat! To anyone thinking about booking, you won't be disappointed. The fishing off the dock is wonderful, the slot machine gives money, the swings are absolutely phenomenal, the sleeping quarters are peaceful, and the hot tub is a slice of heaven. There is so much to do and see. They have really thought of everything and even had games to play and bikes to ride. My husband and I took our three children (ages 1,8, and 11) for Memorial Day and they all had the best time. There is definitely something for every age group. Brian and Tom also checked on us throughout our stay to make certain we had everything we needed and they are so thoughtful. We can't wait to stay again!

Great stay, perfect getaway after a long lock down. Fun was had by all, from my 79 year old mother in law to my 10 year old grandson. The personal touches were above and beyond , my name on the mail box by the front door, a welcome sign at the desk as you enter also had a personalized greeting for me and my guests. So much to see in every room, my mother in law was in heaven playing the slot machine while listening to Elvis on the jukebox. The hot tube was a must do everyday of our stay. I could go on and on but the best way to experience this wonderful place is to stay there.

I have had the pleasure of staying at Adelines on multiple occasions and it is by far one of the most fun places to get away to with friends and family alike. The charming property has fun & fascinating nick knacks and pieces of time and history scattered throughout. As well as some of the beautiful works of stained glass that delight the eyes. I remember vividly my first time walking in the main doors greeted by music playing through the speakers and the warm woodwork beckoning me to set down my bags in one of the many rooms and get ready to unwind and let the fun memories commence. And oh yeah that HOT TUB absolutely memorable. I would highly recommend staying here for virtually any occasion. Girls getaway, corporate team building, family fun. I promise you wont be disappointed.

FINALLY! It's been a couple months since we stayed at Adeline's and all this time I've been wanting to write a review, but just forgot. This is my second time at Adeline's. The first time we randomly chose Adeline's for my partner and I and our ten year anniversary. We fell in love when we saw the pictures on their website. We were really excited. I think our impression was that we would be staying at an era '20s retreat. Knowing the history of the Wisconsin Northwoods and gangsters like Capone and Bugsy and Baby Face we kind of thought there was a theme there. To be fair, Adeline's doesn't dive deep into all that, but we absolutely loved it...all of it! One thing we will say is that we stayed in the late late Fall. While there wasn't snow yet, we did catch the last of the Fall colors and will rethink our third stay so we can either enjoy the lake (which is right there. Really, right there) and the gardens. Even closing in on winter we could tell that the gardens were spectacular in the summertime. Cant wait to see them then. Okay, so we decided to stay here, just my partner and I, thinking the place was a romantic couples retreat. It is, seriously, it was very romantic. Though, it is huge. That was a lot of fun having it all to ourselves - especially the hot tub, the huge hot tub. But, while we did feel kind of Gatsby-ish alone in Adeline's we also realized that this place would be great for a larger group of guests. That's what we did pretty quickly after our first stay. My partner is a huge mystery fan, so she organized a murder-mystery weekend with some good friends and coworkers. It was a casual and fun game that seemed to fit well with the ambiance, especially when we sat in front of the massive stone fireplace trying to figure out "Who dun it..." It worked out great. A couple things to keep in mind - and we didn't take advantage of - is that there is skiing nearby. Maybe an hour away. I don't ski, but my partner is from Tahoe, so... But, it didn't matter because it was too early in the season for snow on the hills. The second time we were busy with the murder-mystery. Also, we are both Pack fans, so we might be interested in staying here for a game in the future. It would be a great place to hang out for an extended weekend, drive up to Green Bay, and then back for some dogs and burgers. Anyway, this is probably a rambling review, but, we did love Adeline's. Wish we could have talked to the owner more so we can get some insight into the history of the place. One of our friends swears she saw a woman in a flowing dress on the porch near the fireman's pole. Yep, there's a fireman's pole. Highly recommended.

We just had a weekend getaway here with a group of friends from all over the state. It was the perfect central location for all of us to meet. The house itself was so interesting; overwhelming at first with so much to look at, but then it just became amusing. There is a TON of space in this house with some nice big congregating areas (big dinner table for meals and games, large bar and massive hot tub). At no point did we ever feel like our group *had* to split up because of logistical issues. What a fun place to host an 80’s lumberjack prom (open to interpretation)! -80’s kids living their best life -80’s kids (even nerds and cool kids) going to prom -Lumberjacks cutting down their tree (spouse) -Lumberjacks attending their first prom Thanks, Adeline! Even in winter, there was plenty to do!

Adeline’s House is Cool is amazing! We had a group of 10 and it was perfect. The attention to detail in this home is incredible and will keep everyone entertained. The main hangout spot has a beautiful bar, fireplace, pool table, piano, and games. Nice sound system throughout and you really can’t beat the hot tub. Great for a winter getaway, although the wrap-around porches on both levels would be fun in the summer.

This is truly a one of a kind place. The house and grounds are well kept and clean and the hottub is to die for. I think I spent the first 20 minutes just looking around at all the little pieces of history hung on the walls and ceilings, like a child at a museum. I will definitely be coming back.

My friends and I rented the property for our annual girls weekend and the experience could not have been more incredible! Setting up our visit was a breeze and communication with Brian and the kind folks that assist with upkeep on the property were stellar. Enough cannot be said about the uniqueness of the property and the amount of space we had to enjoy a cozy fire inside (2 awesome giant fireplaces), swim in the spectacular giant indoor hot tub, relax on one of the numerous comfy swing seats on the upper and lower porches, share a meal in one of the two sizeable dining spaces, or enjoy some fun in the pool table/bar area. BEST airbnb experience yet and can’t wait to rent it again next year.

This place is awesome. If you're looking for a quirky weekend getaway spot for a large group, come here. There are 6 bedrooms on the second floor, each has double doors that open up to a wraparound deck that looks over the property. Giant in-ground hot tub, pinball machine, pool table, bar, fire pole that you can slide down from the second floor balcony - all sorts of things to do with friends and family. And there's weird stuff all over the walls in every room, from taxidermy (more than I've ever seen in my life), funny quotes and newspaper clippings, vintage handbags and hats, to marionette dolls hanging from the ceiling - a lot to take in and keep you entertained. However, it's haunted as shit, so if that's not your thing then perhaps reconsider. Unless you drink enough alcohol before bed to pass out and not wake up until morning, which is what we did every night after the first. On the first night/wee hours of the morning, one of our group had a visitor open her bedroom door, walk in, and sit on the edge of her bed. Half asleep, she turned over, assuming it was one of our friends - but no one was there. Next night, in a different room, the doors leading out the balcony unlocked themselves and swung open at like 3am. Next day, while in the bathroom looking out these two stained glass swinging windows that look out onto the staircase, one of the marionette dolls decided she wanted to slowly turn around to face me. Charming. Same day/later that night, in a different bedroom, the doors to the balcony unlocked themselves and swung open again. And at this point, most of us were sleeping on the couches together because we were a little freaked out, and those brave enough to sleep in the bedrooms made damn sure they locked the balcony doors because of what happened the night before, but sure enough, the doors opened and the two sleeping in that room together came scurrying out with blankets to join our pajama party in the living room. Later on that night, after all but one of us had fallen asleep, that damn marionette doll slowly swung her ass around to stare at the last poor soul lying there awake (thankfully it wasn't me). But it was creepy enough for my friend to take her chances with mysteriously opening balcony doors and sleep in one of the bedrooms alone instead. All of that being said, nothing terribly awful happened to us. We felt more like whatever presence was there was mischievous rather than malicious, and we had a fantastic weekend. They should mention to guests that the original owners of the property are literally buried in the backyard though, complete with headstones so you can pay your respects. And we did - upon checking out, we thanked them for a lovely weekend and apologized for acting like a bunch of idiots in their beautiful home.

Incredible stay!!! Cannot recommend this place enough. There are wonderful touches all over the house, to the outdoor music playing at the entrance, the unique decor, comfortable bedding, and everything you need kitchen wise. Great host to work with and the gentleman providing a tour of the house on arrival is fantastic too. Don’t consider staying anywhere else, I know I won’t!

The space exceeded all of our expectations. Unique touches throughout the house, you can tell someone meticulously planned out the whole thing. The hot tub room stands out as the highlight of the house. Would go back anytime, great place to hangout with friends or family.

I want to lie about this place and tell you it's terrible so it will be easier to rent in the future! This place is out of this world. The hot tub is amazing! I could go on for hours, but if you rent it you'll understand!

OMG, this place is fantastic. We stayed for a few days and it was not nearly enough. There are so many unique things in the house that make it so different from any other house we have stayed at. The hot tub is enormous and was great to help unwind before bedtime, and the fireplace was also nice to use on those cold winter nights. The kitchen has all the essentials to make the place feel like home for those days when you want to cook a nice meal. There are 6 bedrooms, and all very clean and comfortable. A very relaxing winter getaway. It must be even more beautiful in the summer. We definitely would love to go back at some point.

Place is great. Note the machines/pool table all need money. And towels are not provided.

We had a fabulous time at Adeline's over Labor Day. When we arrived, Tom had the porch doors open and music piped out to the porch, so welcoming! Loved that the bedrooms all opened out onto the screened in upper porch. The hot tub easily fit all who came and we enjoyed it nightly. We brought along our kayaks and had fun exploring the channel and Lake Puckaway. Some of the young people were fishing, no keepers but lots of action on the lines. There was so much to see. It would be fun if the owners tools photos and made a scavenger hunt for the kids to do. We would definitely consider going again. The owners and the caretaker were all just charming to deal with, so kind and flexible about times and dates.

OMG, this place is amazing. I can just walk around the house and stare at all the beautiful antiques, and decorations. It's just the right place to get away from your busy life. Being from the City, I can appreciate the peace and quiet that it offers. Love the Pool size Hot Tub. (another first for me) It's HUGE! I would recommend this Awesome place of cool to everybody, and bring your friends, there are 6 bedrooms to chose from.

Hands down, this is my favorite place to vacation! This house is a masterpiece and I've never seen anything else like it. It's right on the lake, it has 6 bedrooms. It's got a bar complete with pool table, arcade games and a juke box. It's decorated with beautiful antiques and rare collectors items. And its has an INDOOR HOT TUB THE SIZE OF A POOL!!! The lake is great for fishing and surrounding small towns are wonderful and welcoming. They're good from antiquing and finding unique gifts. Problem is the house is so nice, i don't ever want to leave. If you're going to stay, book early and give yourself an extra day, because time flies when you're up there. Also it has a full sized Totem Pole. That was a first for me.
