About Montello Wisconsin

A pleasant 25-minute drive northwest of Adeline’s House of Cool is the city of Montello Wisconsin, the county seat of Marquette County.

Montello is home to the largest tree in Wisconsin and other notable attractions in the city are the former granite quarry, which has been transformed into a park with several waterfalls.

The Fox River flows from the east through the middle of Montello. There is a dam in Montello, and the upstream portion of the river to the west of the dam is called Buffalo Lake.

Daggett Park in Montello Wisconsin

View the waterfalls at the historic granite quarry in Daggett Park in downtown Montello Wisconsin.

Near the top of the falls, you’ll notice a tiny chapel, sitting perched atop a granite slab.

The granite from this quarry was once found to be the hardest granite in the world and was used for several famous monuments, in addition to Grant’s tomb. The falls are within walking distance to downtown shops and dining.

Daggett Memorial Park is open year-round, 24 hours a day. For more information visit Daggett Memorial Park on Facebook page

Adeline’s House of Cool is the root of my and my Family’s love for Wisconsin and we wholeheartedly want our guests and the public, in general, to know about the City of Montello and Daggett Park.

Sincerely, Brian Urbanowski & Family
