About Grand River Valley Museum

Located in Markesan Wisconsin, Grand River Valley Museum and Train Depot have tales of missing gold and even murder that will be told when you step back in time at the museum.

A terrific small-town museum displaying period rooms that illuminate local history: shops of a shoemaker, doctor, dentist, haberdasher, and banker. An 1880’s train depot, depot agent’s office with a working telegraph key, a one-room schoolhouse, and an agricultural museum complete the historic complex
