Holiday and Winter Wisconsin Amish Adventures

Working together to prepare for the winter, the Amish gracefully embrace the colder months and engage in various activities reflecting their way of life to ensure their homes are cozy and warm.

During their visits, Adeline’s House of Cool quests have had the chance to witness the communities filled with warmth, faith, and a focus on family rather than commercialism.

A visit to the Wisconsin Amish communities of Dalton and Kingston during the holidays and in the winter reminds us of the richness of life when families come together, even in the coldest of seasons, which we hope Adeline’s House of Cool can also be a part of.

Dalton and Kingston Amish communities

Wisconsin’s Amish County is home to several Amish settlements and has the fourth-largest Amish population in the United States.

While customs may differ from community to community, most resist using electricity, cell phones, driving modern automobiles, and the latest farming equipment.

Just a short distance from Adeline’s House of Community are the Amish communities of Kingston and Dalton in Green Lake County. When driving to and through Kingston and Dalton, you notice stores dotting the streets and highways where you can shop for Amish-made goods.

The Dalton and Kingston Amish are known for their exceptionally well-made wood furniture, cabinetry, baked goods, beautiful quilts, and much more.
