Non-touristy Wisconsin Dells Winter Cabins – Adeline’s House of Cool

If you are wanting to take a winter Wisconsin Dells vacation, there is a very good chance you’re searching for non-touristy Wisconsin Dells Winter Cabins, like Adeline’s House of Cool.

And what do you know about Wisconsin Dells? You’ve likely heard of Wisconsin Dells as being the Waterpark Capital of the World. And for good reason. Wisconsin Dells boasts nearly 20 different water parks throughout the city. Aside from the manmade parks the natural areas surrounding the Dells are just as splish-splashy. Shaped by the curves and currents of the Wisconsin River, the city is located in the heart of glacier-carved sandstone formations.

It is almost as if Wisconsin Dells is a waterpark within a natural waterpark. And we love it. Among the waterparks are a family-tourist dream with over 100 other attractions including the Rick Wilcox Magic Theater, the Tommy Bartlett Exploratory, tons of miniature golf and popular eateries such as Paul Bunyan’s.

But if you’re not into all the highly populated and touristy areas of Wisconsin Dells we have good news for you. The Dells offer much more than slip-sliding down a waterslide and go carts. The Dells are a natural wonder for outdoors enthusiasts. And we’d like to introduce you to some of our favorite Wisconsin Dells adventures.

Adeline’s House of Cool is a Wisconsin Dells winter cabin away from the bustle of touristy adventures. Located in Green Lake County, Wisconsin, Adeline’s House of Cool offers private access to Lake Puckaway, and six bedrooms with accommodations for up to twelve guests. We are a kid-friendly, and pet-friendly cabin rental in Wisconsin with amenities to help you relax after a long day hiking, bowfishing, or just making your own outdoors adventures.

Here are our favorite non-touristy adventures to explore at a Wisconsin Dells Winter cabin.

Witches Gulch

Witches Gulch. At first glance you may wonder why we mention the Witches Gulch as a non-touristy attraction in Wisconsin Dells. After all, the only access to the unique features of Witches Gulch are by taking one of the most popular natural tours in the Dells area. What I mean to say is that you need to visit Witches Gulch by way of the Dells Boat Tours.

However, there are few tours and locations to better represent the glacial beauty of the Dells than a two-hour Dells Boat Tour and the twenty minutes you have to explore Witches Gulch.

Country Bumpkin Farm Market

Country Bumpkin Farm Market. Open since 1997, this family owned farm offers fresh berries, fruits and veggies as well as a petting farm and play village. We love this place because aside from their organic-raised foods, the kids have a ton of stuff to do that make the trip more than just another farmer’s market.

Open seasonally – you know – when everything isn’t frozen, the Country Bumpkin Farm Market is just a fun spot for the entire family.

Lost Canyon Tours

The Lost Canyon Tours began back in 1956 and explore the longest and deepest land canyon in Wisconsin by horse-drawn wagon. Visitors enjoy a peaceful ride through a mile of cliff-walled gorges, narrow passages, and the depths of sandstone walls that haven’t seen sunlight in over 50,000 years.

Red Beard Bowfishing Tours

Red Beard Bowfishing Tours. Adeline’s House of Cool has private channel access to Lake Puckaway and a wealth of musky, walleye, northern, and more. But for a unique fishing experience, Red Beard Bowfishing offers day and night bowfishing in the natural beauty of the Upper Dells Wisconsin River.

Red Ridge Ranch Horseback Riding

Red Ridge Ranch horseback riding. The Red Ridge Ranch offers guided trail rides, camping with horses, sleigh rides, and pony rides. In addition, in the Fall, the Red River Ranch offers plenty of activities for Halloween and the season including a hay maze, pumpkin painting, petting zoo, and haunted hay rides.
