Here are our favorite non-touristy adventures to explore at a Wisconsin Dells Winter cabin.
Witches Gulch
Witches Gulch. At first glance you may wonder why we mention the Witches Gulch as a non-touristy attraction in Wisconsin Dells. After all, the only access to the unique features of Witches Gulch are by taking one of the most popular natural tours in the Dells area. What I mean to say is that you need to visit Witches Gulch by way of the Dells Boat Tours.
However, there are few tours and locations to better represent the glacial beauty of the Dells than a two-hour Dells Boat Tour and the twenty minutes you have to explore Witches Gulch.
Country Bumpkin Farm Market
Country Bumpkin Farm Market. Open since 1997, this family owned farm offers fresh berries, fruits and veggies as well as a petting farm and play village. We love this place because aside from their organic-raised foods, the kids have a ton of stuff to do that make the trip more than just another farmer’s market.
Open seasonally – you know – when everything isn’t frozen, the Country Bumpkin Farm Market is just a fun spot for the entire family.
Lost Canyon Tours
The Lost Canyon Tours began back in 1956 and explore the longest and deepest land canyon in Wisconsin by horse-drawn wagon. Visitors enjoy a peaceful ride through a mile of cliff-walled gorges, narrow passages, and the depths of sandstone walls that haven’t seen sunlight in over 50,000 years.
Red Beard Bowfishing Tours
Red Beard Bowfishing Tours. Adeline’s House of Cool has private channel access to Lake Puckaway and a wealth of musky, walleye, northern, and more. But for a unique fishing experience, Red Beard Bowfishing offers day and night bowfishing in the natural beauty of the Upper Dells Wisconsin River.
Red Ridge Ranch Horseback Riding
Red Ridge Ranch horseback riding. The Red Ridge Ranch offers guided trail rides, camping with horses, sleigh rides, and pony rides. In addition, in the Fall, the Red River Ranch offers plenty of activities for Halloween and the season including a hay maze, pumpkin painting, petting zoo, and haunted hay rides.
